Not walking?
Anyone else's baby just scared to walk? I swear I'm holding on to my sons shirt and he can walk just fine. The second I let go he falls over. He'll be a year on the 24th and I'm just getting annoyed with my mom trying to say he doesn't walk because I hold him too much. Which I don't. I always have him on the floor crawling or walking with help.
I've come to realize walking before 1 is not going to happen with my guy. He'll do it when he's ready and I'm ok with that, but I'm so sick of hearing other people ask if he's walking yet. "Is he at least trying?"
Mine can now take several steps before he falls, but he still prefers to crawl.
Honestly, babies develop at their own pace and walking before 1 should not be considered standard. I have two friends whose babies didn't start walking till 16/17 months! There is a huge range of normal!
YES. She started walking when she turned 10 months old. She's 11 now (as of yesterday) and she is terrified to go more than 10 steps. I know she can do it but she's just not ready. I can hold her shirt or let her hold my finger and that makes her feel so comfortable and she will walk all over the place.
I know they will get there on their own. ❤
My son is using his push Walker more. He hates regular Walker and climbs out. Now he stands on his own and claps like LOOK MOM NO HANDS!! Then he falls on his butt. He's taken two steps but he's a scary cat. Boys are just slower than the gals. My first was walking shy of 11mos
Sam has taken a few unassisted steps here and there, but I'm not sure her realizes he's doing it.
Don't worry, it's super common for babies to not walk yet.
My baby still doesn't scoot, army crawl or crawl. He only sits and he's one next month..
My twins turned 1 on the 4th and still aren't walking , probably won't for at least another month I'd guess

Try giving them spoons to hold onto instead of your fingers when walking them around. Then let go when the time is right. My oldest daughter walked around with arms up and spoons in hands thinking I was still holding them lol.

Yeah I guess it's just a matter of time then!
My son will speed race if I'm holding his hands, but if I'm not he falls or won't let go of whatever it is he's hanging on to. He's just started trying to let go but only for like a millisecond the past couple of days. He just doesn't have the confidence yet. He'll be 1 on the 1st.

He has a walker and he loves it but he'll leave it for me to walk him by hand instead, he has taken two steps completely by himself but that's it
Mine walks holding my hand since 8 months. He is just now learning to let go and not fall. Give it time. Can try push toys to help with little confidence and build of strength. Mine loved being chased down the hallway while he was using his push toy.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.
Who else has financial issues within their relationship?? Or am I just lucky 🙄🙄 Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. His boss was going to give it back to him at the end of the day. So instead of $60 he took out $160. Which I was a little pissed. (One of the reasons I just can't let him use my card. I have to go get the money from the atm myself if I'm giving it to him) then, tonight he asked for $20 incase his boss didn't give it to him. So I gave him my card not even thinking because I had kids running around me. I asked if he could pick up a few things that were out of and told him he could use my card if he has too. And I even told him not to get the expensive brands or anything m generic is fine. So he does. But when he does he decides to go Easter shopping for the kids. (Not sure if he used to my card or not) but if he did, I'd be even more pissed. He knows I have bills to pay on top of giving my son's school money that I owe them. He goes to a private school and I haven't paid in 5 months. It's towards the end of school now so I need to pay it. He knows this month I am extremely tight because of the school, im already in debt and my credit score sucks. I have been trying not to get in more debt and actually fix my credit. I'm so frustrated. It's like we have different priorities and different ideas on this. I feel like I'm completely drowning!!
My 5 year old brother just got circumcised due to all the infections he kept on getting & seeing him in so much pain not being able to walk makes me glad I got my son circumcised as a newborn & planning on doing the same with my second baby.
I swear he makes my day! My SS came over and first thing he did was hug me and said happy Mother's Day! I swear I cried when I went to lay down in bed, I literally just walked in the door from an hour walk, I took off my shoes and I hear a knock it's him and grandpa Phil lol and I swear this boy is amazing lol.

She just started having forward progress on all 4s and I am perfectly OKAY with that! My son didn't walk until 16 months, and you know what?! It was awesome!! He is FAR from slow and at 3 years old was one of the most athletic little people I have ever met and still is. Don't rush them. They know their pace.
