I went back and read your previous post to get more of an understanding. I'm glad your mom was able to agree with you, or at the very least acknowledge that you have to do what's best for your child.

My mom kept us away from my dads brothers when we were growing up. She even went as far as to tell us to call 911 if they ever showed up when my parents weren't home. I still don't know what happened to trigger that reaction from her, I've never asked, and honestly whatever it was I probably don't want to know.

Sometimes the people we need to protect our children from are the ones that we shouldn't have to worry about.

You're the mom and your child(ren) come first, no matter how anyone else feels about it.

I would do and say the same thing if I were able to move out right now pp. The sad part is we don't have the financial means to get out yet and there are no other family members close enough to move in with. All I know is that I can't explain how much weight has been lifted off my shoulders that my mom finally acknowledges that I was hurt not just my sister. She said she was trying to block it out because she didn't protect me but doing that just hurt me more. Without my mom trying to force a relationship with my sister, I know I'll be much happier, at least until I can move out and cut my sister out completely. After reading your other post you mentioned that she babysits for her friend. Does her friend know about the things Shes has done? I'm just worried that maybe she has done something recently and her friend isn't aware..... I think someone should let her know

I have let her know multiple times. She insists that my sister changed and she trusts her. I've tried for years trying to get her to understand but she wouldn't have it. I can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

im so sorry you went through all of that ! It also sucks her friend isnt worried for her children but you can only do so much to help others. im glad you stood up for you and your baby and i wish nothing but blessings from here on out for you and your little boy.

Comfortable don't do it... I was molested as a kid and I only have one flash back ... Some say it's to bad for me to remember but I have forgiven my cousin but he as not ever allowed to babysit my daughters alone or be alone with them... So I agree ... But know that in order to heal... Forgive and then let go and move on ... Praying for you and your son and your sister and mom.

I have forgiven her. Don't get me wrong. But that doesn't mean I'm going to trust her with my child when she still tries to invade my privacy now. I will always protect my son the best way I know how and that's by not letting anyone babysit. Not even my mom. As soon as I get enough money dh and I are getting out. It's like leaving my child with a dog that's acted out before maliciously. I wouldn't risk it. At all.

Thank you @haters! I'm still having discussions with my mom about it to this day. I told her the other day I'm not letting her babysit and my mom said but she's really good with babies. I swear I almost screamed. I just calmly asked her if she needed me to remind her detail per detail of what she did to me again? She realized what she said and apologized. My sister still keeps trying to say she can't wait until he gets here and I said why? And it's because her bestfriend had her baby already and my sister watches her daughter and holds her all the time. I said nobody will be babysitting my son let alone holding him for too long. I don't care if I hurt her feelings lol.
