I’ve never heard of that happening here - but we go straight to midwives when we get pregnant not doctors. Even still they don’t make us take a test for them.

Its first me too, my first ob for my second dd did but had an actual doxs appt. My first they give you an appt from about 8 to 10 weeks you get your first ultrasound and appt.
