Vent

(Im literally locked in the bathroom crying as I write this.) I'm seriously feeling horrible. All I want to do is sleep. Im stressed and my anxiety is through the roof and now on top of being a SAHD and doing full time college courses DH has to find a part time job cause we just can't make ends meet. He's fine cause he's going to work at an animal shelter which is his passion, but I feel like a failure. I've been snapping at everyone and just generally in a sh*t mood. Of course at work and around others I have to be all smiles while my world feels like it is burning down around me.

Went over something similar on Saturday. Drove to a parking lot and cried for 30 min then got home.

I would really look into therapist to get a new perspective. It has helped me tons.

Thanks sweetie. I know I'm not alone ❤ Its just so overwhelming sometimes.

I've seen multiple therapists but unfortunately it never goes well. I have a very hard time opening up so it just ends up wasting both mine and the therapists time and money. TBH just venting here helped.

I am on medication for my anxiety but i stopped taking it mainly cause i never remember to. I know in time things will get better. Thanks for responding. I appreciate it.

It may be hard in the moment, but try not to feel like a failure. When life presents you with challenges, you just have to work with what you have and do your best, and know that you are doing your best no matter what.

When our first born was a baby/toddler, my husband and I both worked full time jobs and also both went to graduate school full time. It was hard work, but we got through it and it was worth it all in the end.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. It sucks to feel anxious over everything, and money issues definitely cause anxiety. When we’ve been tight on money it makes me feel like my life is not secure and it makes me crazy, it’ll be on my mind 24/7. Hopefully him adding a part time job ends up being easier for both of you then you might feel like it’s going to be right now. Please vent as often as you want to because holding it in will seriously make your anxiety worse, and no wants wants you to feel anxious or alone. You’re a wonderful person who seems to appreciate the little things in life, and it’s clear as day how much you love your family, so you’re definitely a winner no matter what else happens. Also, I definitely understand getting frustrated with all the positivity from your husband. I hate when my husband gives me answers like everything is going to be ok when I’m nervous about something. I get so annoyed, like seriously how do you know that? Do you have a plan? Tell me exactly how it’s going to be ok. It always ends up being ok though so they must know something! Sending hugs your way! ? ? ?

You already know that I'm an anxious and troubled individual. So I can relate to you. You may be over thinking it which is what I always do. I'm sure hubby is being positive because he truly believes that things will turn out that way.

I was dealing with the same thing when I was a SAHM. For me it was the opposite though. Felt like I was putting so much burden on my husband. Honestly all that worked for me was going back to work. I hate it. I miss Zaman all day long but I know it's what our family needs at the moment.

My mom is also a negative individual so I've had to tell her to just stop complaining all the time. And she kinda has backed off.

Mary... you’re doing great. Please don’t feel like a failure. You and your hubby have managed to survive and keep your boys housed, fed, clothed, and alive. I think y’all are doing great. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. You have to struggle before you make it out on top. I’ve been making it a habit to tell myself throughout the day that “I am good enough. I am enough.” Because I too feel like I’m not succeeding. Since I started thinking positive thoughts, I’ve felt better. Even in stressful times. Maybe try that for a bit? You are a great wife and mother. Don’t think any less of yourself

You ladies are too great. I happy cried reading all of these stories and your uplifting responses. April, I definitely need to start the daily positivity thing. Like tonight I kept reminding myself this is just temporary. We just have to make it to February when we can pay off our car. That will give us an extra $280 a month and DH can stop working. I'll make it. Im so blessed to know you ladies.

Oh sweetie. My heart goes to you! Times can be rough - being a Momma is no joke and a stay at home one is TOUGH!!

I’ve went through this with hubs and resenting him for being able to leave etc... I ended up getting up 30 mine before the kids and just eating breakfast and getting what I call “me sanity time”. Totally sucks getting up early but I’ve found it to be very helpful.

I don’t have many friends either that are close. Feel free to message me, I can send you my number and text anytime you need to talk or just need a friend. We are all in this together?

I get it Mary and I’m always a good listener ❤️ my anxiety manifest as anger and this time of year my anxiety is sky high. I’m not as good at hiding it as I use to be. Like you said it’s only for a few months, you got this!

Your DH sounds like mine, so dang optimistic ? all I hear is “it’s just money, we can always make more” it gets my nerves ? maybe I’m kinda jealous because I wish I could live with a brain like that!!

I personally don't have any issues with finances (thankfully) but having a baby has completely made my life sooo much more stressful, and I am able to stay home, so I can't imagine having to go to work, and having two kids.. I give you major props!!

Hope it gets better for you soon ❤️

Haha @ Amanda. He's always asking what happened to the scrappy survivalist girl he first met. I told him he spoiled me and got me used to the good life ??
