Help!? Third night in a row he has completely undone his swaddle, he is double swaddled too. He won't fall asleep though unless his arms are swaddled. We've already tried the sleep sack but he won't settle down unless he is swaddled and he breaks out of the halo one too. Any tips? Or do we have to just go cold turkey and let him work it out on his own?

We are in the same boat! We just started swaddling with my daughter's arms free cuz she is almost rolling over and tries to bury her face in the side of the bassinet. We had a rough night with her waking up from swinging her arms and wanting her pacifier. ? She is going to have to get used to it at some point but yeah it's not fun. She knocks out when she's totally swaddled but I can't do that anymore unfortunately.

My husband also told me no more swaddled ? they are about to start rolling soon so they have to learn to sleep with their arms out anyways. I'm just hoping it's an easy transition!

Miracle blanket is the only one that works for us

@jmedina It's so hard when you have a mover and a shaker isn't it. We had to move him to his crib cause he was learning how to shimmy out of his rocker. I currently have him in a halo with the swaddle me around his torso.. he was not having the underarm thing and he's been napping for 5 whole minutes lmao.

@justcailyn I wanted that one a while ago but DH has informed me that I've reached my non-necessities baby spending limit until I go back to work ? He doesn't work weekends so he said he is willing (aka cheap lol) to try no swaddling and be on baby duty overnight and if we haven't made any progress by Monday he'll consider the blanket.

Having the same problem! He also spins lol soon im going to start swaddling under his armpits so he still feels hugged but his arms are free. He broke out halfway through the other night with the swaddle still covering chest down and he stayed asleep, so I'm hoping it goes well. Not much advice, just going through the same thing!

Have you tried the love to dream swaddle? It keeps their arms by their face because it's their natural sleeping position to help self soothe. They're still confined in the swaddle and then they have a transition swaddle when he starts to roll over where you can take off the arms of the swaddle

@dlynn, that's what we were afraid of lol. We're gonna try tonight and see how it goes.

Sounds like it's time to learn to sleep without the swaddle. Hopefully he adjusts quickly! Good luck momma

He also spins himself around in the crib so I'm afraid he's gonna come out of the swaddle completly and get himself tangled up in it or i would just put him down swaddled and let him break free on his own.
