Help!? Third night in a row he has completely undone his swaddle, he is double swaddled too. He won't fall asleep though unless his arms are swaddled. We've already tried the sleep sack but he won't settle down unless he is swaddled and he breaks out of the halo one too. Any tips? Or do we have to just go cold turkey and let him work it out on his own?

This is the only way I can get my son to stay swaddles.

@janhar the grow so quick. I was hoping to have atleast another month of peaceful swaddled 12 hour sleep. ?

@lf1 since I took unpaid extended keave, hubby informed me that I've reached my non necessities spending limit ? so I need to find a free way to do this. He has volunteered to try arms free tonight and be on baby calming duty since he doesn't work over the weekend.
@altimuse is it where his arms are on his chest with his hands out or the one where everything is covered but his arms? I tried the on chest one and that went over as well as trying to bathe a cat lmao. I actually think bathing a cat is easier ??

My guy is the exact same way... haven't found a solution. He's in the halo swaddle now, but usually after his middle of the night feed ends up out of his swaddle by morning! Tried the double swaddle, tried swaddle me, the halo has been the best... he's almost 3 months and I'm dreading not swaddling him! Good luck ??

I swaddle Miller with his arms up then hold him really close and rock him for till he drowsy then lay him down. Sometime I'll hold his arms steady for a few min till he's totally asleep.

What about a zipadee? My girl used to do this and now we just let her arms free. It takes her a bit to settle herself down sometimes but once she's out she's fine. She freaks if we try to wrap her arms up.

@Mega we double swaddle him so his arms are swaddled in a receiving blanket and then we use the swaddle me, but Mr houdini has figured it out. I found the receiving blanket stuffed in the bottom of the swaddle sack lol. He turns 3 months on wednesday.
@bambish we considered the miracle blanket but didn't know if it would be worth it since it's not long until he can't be swaddled so DH said it just felt like delaying the inevitable. So since he doesn't work on weekends were gonna try the unswaddled and if he's just not ready we might consider the miracle blanket.
Thank you both for the input.

Have you tried a miracle blanket?

My little guy does that sometimes too. Its frustrating because he only sleeps long stretches when swaddled. We swaddle Owen with his arms bent and hands by his face, it seems to help. I also do it pretty tight and I use the same swaddles. It's okay if he turns, he can still be swaddled as long as he is not rolling yet. My goal is to start taking away the swaddle around 3 months. He's 10 weeks today. I'm dreading taking it away!

He also spins himself around in the crib so I'm afraid he's gonna come out of the swaddle completly and get himself tangled up in it or i would just put him down swaddled and let him break free on his own.
