My first is Alexis Dawn, I loved the name Alexis and my mom picked her middle name, I was only 16 when I had her and was at a complete loss for a middle name lol.

My second is Ezekiel Charles, I wanted to go with a biblical name. His middle name is his dads grandfathers middle name. He passed away a few months before we got married.

My third is Ariella Larine, I wanted to find another biblical name but couldn't find anything. I ran across Ariella and couldn't get the name out of my head and it has a biblical meaning. And her middle name is my grandmas middle name, when my grandma found out she was pretty happy.

My sons name is Kash Joseph- there's no story to the first name except I love unique names and almost every kid I know is king so when I'm asked why Kash my response is "In a world full of Kings there's gotta be a Kash" but Joseph is my dads middle name and being a single mother the only support I had was from my dad. ?

John Richard

John after hubby's grandfather. He was a generous and hardworking man. He had a huge personality such that everyone has a several favorite stories about him. Hubby saw him almost everyday of his life until he passed when he was 13. His cousins have had 3 girls so far otherwise the name would have been taken.

He is also named after my dad Richard - a friendly and intuitive self made man. My dad was named from my Granny's maiden name. She was a firecracker, but also had immense love for family.

Wyatt Thomas. We had the worst time coming up with a boy's name we both liked. We knew we wanted Thomas after my dad. My husband actually came up with Wyatt by looking at street names on Google maps. Lol. I was slow to warm up. Then even after I liked the name, I was hesitant because it makes his initials WTF. But there was nothing I liked better, (most) people said the initials weren't a big deal, and then he came three weeks early so we had to make a quick decision! ?

Jaxson John

Hubby's dads name starts with a J as does his. A dear old friend called him JL (initials) and called hubby JL jr. when we found out he was a boy hubby wanted a J name we both liked Jax. Middle name is John because hubby's middle name is john. Grandpas name is john and other grandpas middle name is john. So we went with Jaxson John.

Paisley Easton

I was very close with my grandma and when I found out I was pregnant she was beyond thrilled. Unexpectedly she died when I was 15 weeks. 5 weeks later I found out she was a girl. I knew right then I wanted to give her the same initials as my grandma. P.E so i had always loved Paisley so that was easy but I couldn't find an E name that felt right. I looked online in boy names and saw Easton. I felt it was gender neutral enough and hubby agreed.

Deacon (a male name similar to Deanna, didn't want to go with Dean because he is my sister's brother in law and an ass lol)

Abigail (I liked it, and after she was born we found out my SO's aunt who passed away who was known as Gail was actually born Abigail)

Rena (my gramma (Lurena) shortened name on my dad's side)

Darcie (female spelling of my SO's brother Dracy who passed away)

Baby boy is named Zaman Ali.

When I first started talking to my husband, my great grandpa (who raised my mom so basically my grandpa) had just had a stroke and he was in the hospital. The last conversation I had with him before he went into a coma and eventually passed was him saying he would pray that all my troubles vanished and I found happiness. Well along came DH and it was a whirlwind romance with us getting married within six months of knowing each other.

After we got married, I got pregnant pretty much right away but we had a miscarriage. It wasn't planned but then we realized having a baby would be wonderful. Anywho I got pregnant again a month later. Since I got pregnant I kept having dreams of my great grandpa. So I told my husband if we had a boy we would name him Zaman after my great grandfather. He was the kindest most giving soul I ever met. I hope my son lives up to his name.

Ali is the name of a prominent religious and political figure in the history of Islam. He was a great philosopher and a gentle soul. He preached peace and harmony. I've always admired his quotes and wisdom so it was a natural choice for his middle name.

Long story short, Zaman means "time, age or era." Ali means "sublime, lofty." So my sons name loosely translates to "sublime age" or the "time of Ali." Depending on how you look at it.

Hubby and I decided on the name Jack 4 years ago. We had gotten married in Dec 2013 and moved to TX on Army Orders in March 2014. I remember we were in his truck making plans for the future on growing our family. He loves off the wall names for some reason. And I vetoed almost all of them (he also got most of his suggested names from TV shows...) I like simple but strong names. He loves the name Jaxson. Me on the other hand, well, I wasn't in love with it. Finally he suggested Jack. And that name I did fall in love with. It also means "God is gracious." Which I love!

My daughter's name is Quinn Noelle. There isn't anything significant to it besides that I have always liked the name since watching Daria and that was her sister's name. I also like one-syllable names and that it starts with a unique letter.

My son's name is Pierce Charles. I wanted another one-syllable name that fit well with Quinn. I really liked the name Jett but my husband is Jeff and I am Jamie and I didn't want another J name. My MIL named every child and pet with J names when my husband was growing up, and I'm not into that cutesy stuff, no offense to anyone who is. Charles was my husband father's middle name. He passed when my husband was in high school, and now baby Pierce is the last namesake of the family. No pressure!

2nd is zeth lee Andrew i liked the name zeth but don't like common names so i switched it to a z instead

And little killian michael got his name because I refused to have a michael Jr and both dad and I have Irish decent and was the only name we could agree on

Miller is my moms Maiden name and I love last names as first names. For some reason us grandkids have always called my Grandpa, Miller and I would be one lucky momma if my son is half the man my Grandpa Miller is. Matthew is my husband middle name and we actually knew Matthew would be his middle name before we picked his first ?

My oldest Jada lynn I always liked the name since I was a kid and named all my dolls Jada and said if I ever had a daughter that would be her name Lynn all the girls on my moms side have middle names that start with L so i carried on the tradition.....My middle daughter is Erika Lee we let her God Father name her so thats the name he picked my son is Camron like the rapper I like the way it sounds and like different spellings I don't like original....and Kinleigh Marie, Kinleigh doesn't have a story saw the name spelt a different way and liked it but like the way I spelt it because it's different and Marie is my fiances moms middle name

My first son is Jack Robert who is named after my dad who passed away when I was pregnant. My dad's name was Robert John, so I just flipped the two and used Jack instead of John! I've always loved the name Jack too!

My second son is Liam Patrick. Liam is William in Gaelic which is my husbands name, and Patrick is also his middle name. ?

Madeline Valentina

We live in the town Chatham and husband always jokes we would name our son that. And if it's a girl then nExt town over is Madison. It was a joke but he would talk to the belly per Chatham and Maddie.

We were expecting a girl and he really liked to call her Maddie. I couldn't name her Madison - so we compromised on Madeline. I also love that French cartoon.

Valentina is my choice. From a very long list of favorite names.

Our only requirements for names were no Polish or Chinese as then our families would be upset why one or the other.

Want all my kids to have the same letter, which is k so Kate was the chosen name had Kholē but my husband said he didn't like it because of certain family which I bet you can guess ?.

My babies are Ava Rylee and Rhett Jaxon.

Ava is just a name that we liked, and Rylee is after her daddy (his name is Riley) and I have always liked it for a girl lol.

Rhett is a name that my husband always loved, because it sounds like a country boy name. And I have always loved the name Jaxon.

Their names don't have a whole lot of meaning, we just picked what we liked :)

First baby: Alexander Alaka'i Kazuo M. Alexander was the only name we could agree upon. DH wanted Poseidon or Zeus. We came up with both middle names together. I'm part Hawaiian and wanted a Hawaiian middle name. We are both Japanese and added a Japanese middle name as well.

Second: Arya Nohealani Yasuko M. I was stubborn and wouldn't budge with the first name. DH caved because he felt bad I had a hard labor with her. He got to pick the spelling. Nohealani was supposed to be my middle name but my mom misspelled it so I said I would give it to my daughter. Yasuko is the feminine version my DH middle name.

Third: Ava Kailani Michiko M. Ava was the only name we could agree on and honestly I didn't wanna fight with DH on. He wanted Athena but I didn't like that name. We came up with both middle names together kind of last minute. I wanted her to have a full name by the time she was born.

All my kids are "A" names. The first two were unintentional. My last baby was a "surprise " so DH wanted her to have an "A" so she wouldn't feel left out.

Jose Antonio Gomez Jr.

We call him JAG a acronym for his paisa name. Lol.

No one knew I was gonna name him that not even his daddy.

My hubby has 2 boys prior and thought it would be sweet for him to have a Jr. Now that he's here I feel it was the choice.

If my son wants to change his name in the future I would encourage him too.

My daughters name is Aliyah Taylor there is no story for the first name we just really liked it but Taylor we chose to honor my boyfriends 18 year old sister that passed away a month before she was born

Most of you know my sons name is Jude! Full name Jude James. Jude after the Beatles song hey Jude??. We are both beatle maniacs and years ago began naming our pets after Beatles songs- cat Eleanor Rigby, girl pup Sadie (Sexy Sadie), boy pup Jojo (Get Back). When we first ever talked about kids before our pets we could never pick a boy name. When we finally conceived it wasn't hard to come up with Jude. Although originally it was Julian bc hey Jude was written for Julian Lennon by Paul McCartney. Jude was his nickname. We just never called him that in the womb. James after my grandfather who was my only father figure and passed away years ago. ❤️ I love this post Mary!

Mt baby's name is Clara May. Clara is my husband's grandmother middle name . May was her first name as well as my mom's middle name. Ironically also the month mu hubby and I met and obviously babies birth month.

Thats a beautiful story for Caleb. I'm a big believer in naming a child in honor of a passed loved one, and Sullivan "Sully" is just awesome. ?

My first sons name is Caleb Matthew. I had a friend growing up who had a brother named Caleb, he passed away from cancer when he was in middle school. Even after Caleb was born I wasn't sure I chose the right name, but Caleb ( friends brother) visited me in a dream and told me I had chose the right name. It was very heartwarming and when I told his family he had visited me they were very happy.

My seconds name is Sullivan Wayne. Sullivan we got the name from Monsters Inc which was my first sons favorite movie. Lol we call Sullivan "Sully" for short. And Wayne is also my dad's middle name.
