I lost mine (it came along with my bloody show) the morning I was 35 weeks and 5 days around 8 and I had my son that night at 1130.

Just to warn you...I lost some at 38 weeks then it ALL came out in a big lump the morning I went into labour (40+6). I woke up at 1am with bad period pains and knew immediately that I had started. About an hour later my plug came away when I went to the toilet. There was LOADS of blood and I panicked so I wiped and kept it on tissue just incase - my mum trained me to do this if we were ever unsure of body deposits (?). It was my plug. So don't worry if you get clots of blood with your plug! x

Most of them seem to disintegrate and you lose it in pieces. Sometimes you lose the whole thing at once, but that seems more rare.

I honestly never 'lost' it, lol. I ended up having a c-section and figured it must have just disintegrated...? I don't know... :-/

Everyone looses it. A lot of women just loose it during labor. But a lot of women also loose it wihout ever knowing it. Hope that helps. I got that from one of the websites that I frequent. (not from a forum) just so you know!

I didn't lose mine. Went into labour at 38 weeks. Will be interesting to see if it happens this time round!

I never lost mine and I was in labour for 40hrs and 12 days late. I guess everyones mucus plug is different too, lol!
