They said they would decide at the 36 wk growth scan. As my ladies were breech the whole time, they wanted to give them as long as possible to maybe change position. - yea it didnt happen, and i begged for a section to be booked as early as safe for the babies, as i was sooo swollen full of fluid, in pain and could barely move. at 36wks they booked it in for 37+5. They really werent happy about it, they wanted it to be passed 38wks, but my girls were pretty good sizes so they went ahead. Good luck!! Xx

A big surprise! Lol I think twins comes as a surprise to most I suppose haha this will be our 2nd and 3rd providing everything goes ok. Your midwife is so right, I think my worrying only got worse once my little boy was born lol it's just so exciting and rewarding though. They're just the best little things ever :-) my next ultrasound is dec 9th so I'll keep you all updated on how it goes! ? x

Wow what a surprise. I remember all the time up until my first scan I was scared of everything. These are my first. I asked the midwife if the worry ever goes away, she said no! Look after yourself and it will all be ok. Sadly people post more bad news than good. I joined this app at 5 weeks pregnant and people were dropping out the February group daily. It was so sad.

I found out completely by chance I'm expecting twins. Had an ultrasound booked to check for cysts on my ovaries (found out the same week I was pregnant) so the sono tech said she would have a little look at my uterus too. Then had to do transvaginal to get a closer look as I was only around 4-5 weeks, and she confirmed two sacs and what she thinks was two embryos. I'm still only around 6-7 weeks and kind of wish she hadn't told me, it's so hard not to worry! But I'm praying they both stick around :-)

@Wildbutterfly, even though 38 weeks is only just over 10 weeks away it can't come soon enough! It's getting uncomfortable now and the sickness is back as I get sick if I eat too much/don't eat enough/indigestion/get too hot! Doesn't seem to end! Will see what the consultant says!

@kim try to relax and fingers crossed it doesn't happen. I didn't find out we were having two until 14 weeks so don't know how you are feeling. But it won't be long until you are just as uncomfortable as me! Lol :)

I got to 34 weeks when he gave me a date. I was booked for a section at 39&2. Consultant wouldn't budge when I suggested the week before as I worried about the placenta deteriorating. And they were measuring ahead. I went in at 39&2, they were massive, nearly 8 pounds each. But perfect. Good luck, it's hard work cooking multiples!

Sorry no help at all but congrats!!! I'm from the UK also :-) very early days in my pregnancy though and so scared about "vanishing twin syndrome". X
