What is wrong with me?
I woke up this morning and instantly felt like I was spinning. I'm not hungover (haven't drank in awhile) I'm not pregnant. Not on any meds either. I've eaten and been sipping on water all morning. I do feel nauseous but that's because of the spinning sensation. I feel fine otherwise. What do you think is going on?

Flu?

Could be dehydration, or you could have a flare up of Ménière's disease.

That happened to me once when I was dehydrated. Lay down for a while and drink a lot of water.

Nina I don't know. Wouldn't I be feeling other flu like symptoms? I wasn't nauseous until I started walking around. So I laid down. But it's anytime I open my eyes the spinning starts.

I'll continue drinking water and laying down. It's been like this for a few hours

Sounds like vertigo
Thisisfeeney·
Can vertigo happen if I've never had anything like it before?

eat infection or sinus infection
deleted-user·
Yes people can get attacks that have never had one before.

I was going to say vertigo also. If you keep getting it go to the doc. My FIL gets it bad and he has meds for it.

Thanks ladies. I'll keep an eye on it.

Yeah that sounds like vertigo. I have random attacks that last a day or so. I get so unbalanced that I walk into doorways and have to brace myself on the wall to keep myself upright. Showering with vertigo is almost impossible, because as soon as my eyes close I’m goin down lol. Stay hydrated and try and have one salty and one sweet snack. Sometimes it’s just an issue with not being hydrated or low sodium or blood sugar.

I felt the same way last night and today I woke up with a cough and runny nose and pressure in my head. Something must be going around.

Vertigo? It’s an inner ear infection and makes you feel like you are spinning. Go to the doctor and ask to check your ear liquid. It’s probably that. I’ve had it for years and take little white pills when it comes on.

That happened to me the other morning, I woke up super dizzy like everything around me was spinning. I ended up getting sick four times, and after I felt okay not as nauseous but I stayed dizzy the whole day...
I hope you feel better soon! Im sorry you're sick.

Sounds a lot like vertigo...i got it once out of nowhere, and just like you said op, it felt like a hangover, but i hadn't drank anything. It was so bad that i threw up and had to hold on to the wall to walk. Dr had to prescribe meclizine, i believe and fluticasone.

I had a bout of vertigo early in pregnancy and it was awful, I had to walk everywhere shuffling and holding onto the wall, occasionally dropping to my knees when a dizzy spell started so I didn't fall over. Anti motion tablets can help

Thanks ladies for everything. It's not a constant spinning anymore. Just a couple seconds here and there. Staying hydrated and light snacking. Nausea has pretty much gone away. I think it was just a random attack. But yeah it felt like I was super hung over but I haven't drank lol. Hopefully this isn't going to be a normal thing. I could barely walk. Dh was helping me because I was almost running into walls. ?

Anemia possibly? I find when my iron levels are low, I get a little dizzy and sometimes nauseous.

Iv had vertigo before and ended up having a bladder infection. I had no symptoms at all!!

@mireya that is actually a possibility.
