Advice please?

So I feel so stupid. I know not to give a child under 1 honey. However I had some chicken tenders and mustard for lunch. I let my 8mo ds try a taste (tip of my finger) of the mustard. But I wasn't even thinking because it was honey mustard. It was only once and then I was like on no its HONEY mustard! Should I be worried? I'll Obviously keep an eye on him. I feel awful for not thinking it through.

Thanks ladies. Sorry I was working and then forgot about this post ? yeah I wasn't sure if it was just raw honey or anything "honey" it was from my work and all our dressing are made in house.

Pp thanks, we use to do commercial bee keeping, we had over 200 hives but that's a lot of work and it wasn't fun anymore, you don't really get to enjoy the bees and hives when your that big, so we just cut down to 4 hives which we enjoy a lot more, can take our time watch the queen run around on the frame laying her eggs ?, which 4 hives is wayyy more honey then we need, 1 hive can produce depending on the year/conditions in between 100-200 lbs of honey, and we have 4 ??‍♀️ ?..

So lots of baking, tea and we sell privately to friends...

Op I wouldn't worry at all, it's a very rare thing and for mixes such as mustard etc its a good chance it's not real honey but a simulation honey.

Hope I helped a bit.

They say no honey to be on the safe side, not all honey is dangerous, actually most isn't, most bee hives are clean and safe but on rare occurrence some bees might accidentally bring In some spores they managed to pick up on their flight that mutate and in infants cause botulism,

It's rare...but when you sell honey commercially (short version)it all gets poured in to a huge vat they mix the honey from hundreds of different beekeepers and that gets sent to bottling and distribution, then off to the stores.. so if one hive was infected that whole vat then becomes infected...

Ya you learn way to much boring crap like that when you have honey bees ..lol ?

I feel stupid for not knowing this ?

What they worry about it raw honey, that’s what an consumer botulism. The stuff in mustard, cookies, lots of other things have been cooked and get rid of the botulism.

Mustard is also a pretty common allergen FYI.

Chances are it will all be fine, don't worry, it's easy to do with sauces & glazes.

It might not have real honey in the sauce anyway it might be 'honey flavour'. So synthetic flavouring of honey added.

@Sierra babies under one cannot have honey. It causes infant botulism. Very dangerous and deadly. It is for real.

I think he's would be fine. Only Bc when dd2 was 6-7 months I gave her piece of ham and I forgot dh bought the wrong kind. He got honey ham instead of smoked. I freaked out and called her pedi. He said she would be fine. He said if she stops nursing and is acting strangely to take her in. She was fine thank god.

If it's like, a store bought honey mustard then there's probably not even really honey in it and just a taste wouldn't have hurt even if it was :)

I accident did the same thing with my baby when she was 7-8 months. Except it was honey bbq. She was fine.

He should be fine. It’s really only honey alone that you should be worried about! Just keep an eye on him.

Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.

ekko I see both sides. However, if you both work and him taking off one day isn’t going
2sweetie I’ve never asked my husband to take a day off when I’m sick. I just deal with
boymama523 He gets the choice to call off if he’s overwhelmed or sick. You (all us mommas) don’t.

Strippers.

How do you all feel about your SO/hubby going to the strip club? I honestly have jealousy issues and I dont approve of it for my SO, as he already doesn't like too go. But i feel like if he wants to see women stripping on poles, I can be his own personal stripper. Lol ? I am just curious to see what others feel and think!

Couldn't care. I would be asking questions if it was a every day thing , but if
If it's for a bachelor party or something, cool. If it's just because he wants to go
No, absolutely not. He would not appreciate me doing it and I feel the same. I view
