I was a server at Buffalo Wild Wings, and I had this family come in and the dad ordered a shot of Cuervo Gold. No problem, right??
So I bring him his shot, and he looks at me like I'm dumb. So I politely ask what's wrong...turns out the shot wasn't "poured right"? I kid you not! I brought this man six different shots made by the same bartender. She made them all exactly the same, but out of the six shots, only one was "poured right" The whole family threw a fit, and I clocked myself out lol.
I once had a customer come in and asked if he could perform oral sex on me.
I had a woman and her kids come in once and she ordered hot wings for her kids. They were like 4&5 years old...so I'm like,,are you sure?? It's pretty hot for kids. And she insists that they like that sauce. So they eat and leave, everything's perfect. Well I come in the next day and the woman wrote in about how I had the audacity to give her kids hot sauce and that it burned their mouths..so I got written up.
Most of the other times were people getting annoyed that their food was taking too long OR we asked for their I.D when they ordered alcohol.
1. Your food isn't the only food being cooked. Especially if you come in as a family of 5+, that's a lot of food and it takes time!
2. It is the law (in my state, anyway) that everyone MUST be carded if they order alcohol, UNLESS they look over 40. Just get your I.D out lol.
Oh @jenie you are one of those customers. Those rude ones I see almost everyday. Who thinks everyone owes them something and the world rotates around u. How rude. Well when u leave a retail store with that attitude we talk crap behind ur back and next time u come into our store we are not so nice. Everyone needs a job and everyone needs to learn how to do their job
I work for a call center. I do accounts receivable for a national global wireless company. My 40 hrs a week is people enra
ged bc there services are in suspension.
Lots of blaming, yelling and cursing so bad I blush. Lots of disputes and anger And 2 attempts to collect the balance Due . There are those that make your day better though. .
Getting to help them is rewarding and we have benifits and stuff. This past week, I actually cried. Its hard not to take personal.
Working retail or the food industry/hospitality is really a humbling experience.
A lady flipped s*** because she wanted to return something to rebuy it, I was called, and I said I'd do the return. Yep, I was yelled at for 15 minutes because I did what they asked.?
This lady was out of her mind. Going off about how she's a good person and one of her kids being a lawyer and the other is whatever. I just looked at her and periodically asked if she still wanted me to do the return... then I just asked her to leave.
She later called to complain that I was too young to be a manager.? I look a lot younger than I am, I get it, but wth?
ETA: oh. And the lady didn't even lie about how things happened. She said she was having a bad time and she was wrong -but whatever age she assumed I was set her off.
@jenie- hope you don't work with people with your nasty attitude...
My worst experience was delivering newspapers to businesses. I was 20 and the deliveries were between 1 and 7am, and I got the creepiest route. I was being trained one night by a guy my dad's age. At one of the stops, a couple guys yelled something nasty at me, then asked me, "How much?" as if I was a hooker.
The guy training he flipped out and yelled at them.
This isn't my story but it's one of the security people at my store story. It happened at our store but before I worked there. I work in a very bad part of S.F at CVS and he told me there were these two men fighting outside and one pulls out a knife and starts stabbing the other dude and then they come into the store fighting and blood everywhere and he said he had to walk over and tell them to take that s*** outside while also being scared to death because the dude had a knife!
I had this one customer yell at me and get mad because I wouldn't type in his pen and then he said he hopes my baby doesn't get my stupidity.
I had this other guy be on drugs and he legit sat on the floor and pulled everything out of his bad and was just going through it on the ground and then tried to find some of my co workers when they tried to get him out
Last one, this other was not in line and had his arms full of stuff and asked if I could take him next and I said no sorry sir I can't, you weren't in line and then he just drops all of the stuff in his arms and then stares at me for 2 mins and then just walks out of the store. He was acting like a 2 year old having a tantrum lol
I worked at a fast food in the ghetto so I always had rude customers. This one lady just came from CHURCH and was rude as hell. She was ordering fast and on the screen it doesn't let you continue unless they say they want a drink or not. So I asked her and she just kept ordering and I couldn't get anything down because the damn screen wouldn't continue. Finally she stopped and told me yes she wanted a drink then when I asked what she wanted to order , she started getting loud and cursing at me. Man I just wanted to wipe her eggs and grits with my ass?? and I had another guy get mad at me I can't remember for what and he shoved his orange juice at me lol I wish I could've thrown it at his head.
When I worked for Starbucks I had a customer try to start a fight with me because she wanted her drink remade since I dod not add a sufficient amount of ice to her tea. Well sadly, she was a barista from another store and should have known better to check her attitude. I ignored her and told my manager to finish her drink because I was nit going to let her try to push me??
She was worked up and I was in my own zone, NOT MAKING HER DRINK?
She was WRONG
I have more lol
Same place as last time, customer came in. There was a sale on soda, but it expired the day before but no date was on the sign for us. He got mad and started yelling, I was on the phone with my manager, who was the owners daughter, and she told me to ring it up as usual and take down the signs. I did so and he's just yelling saying "I'm a lawyer you need to give me the discount blah blah blah" told him I couldn't do that, my manager didn't approve it. He proceeded to call me a batch, and other names on the way out. I know I shouldn't have but I was able to get away with quite a lot, I said "great things to teach your son sir, I feel bad for him being raised by a man like you"
Used to get harrased by a customer every time he came in. He knew my SO worked there as well. Tried to pick up my daughter one day. Oh i was about to snap and raise hell.
Just got off shift one day, the other cashier was slow so I said I'd help since the other girl was just standing there not opening the registr I just counted for her to use. Got through 2 customers and there were none left. So I turned around and walked away. In that time, a customer walked up. Started yelling at me and I told her my associate would work ring her up. She proceeded to call me racist and that I wasn't helping her cause she's black. I told her "my shift ended 30mins ago, I've been out of my work attire for 25, I was helping out the other cashier so she could cash out" she just went on and on and started calling me profanity and said to fight her and blah blah blah. She harassed me for months even threatened to run me over with her raggedy suv.
Pp I understand it can be frustrating but when you're new it can be scary. People make mistakes. Unless it's blatantly obvious the employee is being rude I don't get mad. I've been stuck with a new person and they get so stressed out. They apologize profusely and I just say it's ok you're new I've been there.
I work at a phone company but in a kiosk in the mall we have live demo phones and everybody wants to unplug our live demo phones and charge their device which is not allowed due to the fact that our cords always get screwed up when people use them. I had a couple come and my coworker was helping them and notified them they could not charge the device on the demo phone. sure enough they still plug it in and it drops in between our kiosk wall and our accessory pegs inside the kiosk, you have to have power tools to open up the accessory wall in the inside the kiosk there was no way I could have gotten it that day so my coworker is new and I let him take control. Until they started getting loud and I notify them I'll tell my manager tomorrow but you won't be able to get your phone today they started freaking out the customer walked in to my kiosk told me that I was lying that I could have gotten the phone and that she saw her device which was totally not true I told her she needed to get out ASAP she told me to get my pregnant ass to the corner and find out who the baby daddy is I'm 7 months pregnant and they're chewing me out because they drop their phone inside the kiosk even though we told them not to charge their device they started cussing me out they were so rude I finally called security and the cops came we had a manager come I ended up walking to the bathroom and hysterically cried I was done
Sometimes at my job I am required to work out front at pizza station. I have to make pizzas and work the flattop. Customers will come up and order eggs or pancakes and watch while I cook for them.
I had a lady ask for "medium-well" eggs.
?
Then a man asked for eggs "over"
I said would you like your eggs over-easy medium, or hard?
"I want them over!"
Sir, do you want the yolks still runny or do you want them set?
"OVER"
I just ended up making him over-easy eggs and sending him on his way because I had other customers.
I went to buy a pack of ciggs for my neighbor, and I wasn't sure which kind exactly..so I asked to hold the pack, while my money was on the counter....
The cashier took my money, gave me change and said have a good day..I was like well I actually need the long ones..she said nope.
Nope can't do it..all sales final!
Wtf is that? I didn't even make the purchase. Manager settled it..but she caused a huge scene, and I probably did too. But man, I was pissed!
I work at walmart, Ive seen it all.
I had an old lady tell me the register is wrong and called me an a****** because it charged her more. The signs were wrong and I told her I would change the prices on her sodas for her..yet she still called me an a****** .
I had another one in line getting mad because I was ringing too slow. I was one of the fastest cashiers they had. I was bagging how a customer wanted me to bag, and it was slowing me down becausr he didnt have all of his items organized on the belt to how he wanted it bagged. She straight up called me a white piece of trailor trash beeyotch. Lol. I was about to jump over the register at her, but demanded to take a break right then and there to cool off. My supervisor moved her to another line and I took the guy that was behind her with one item. The rules are you have to finish your line before you leave for break and he had only one item. She got mad at me, and I just simply told her she was being rude and walked away.
What the customers dont know, if you are being rude to us we can refuse to ring you up. Rude, no problem. Start calling me names.. yeah thats an issue.
Worked self checkout at Wal-Mart. Was a super busy day. Older lady with a cart full of stuff didn't know how to use them. I showed her how to scan an item and put it in a bag. Went to help others and I could hear her bytching at the machine and yelling for me again. When I got back to her she just wanted me to ring her up at the register. I told her I cannot do so because we are extremely busy at the moment and I have to tend to other customers who have been patiently waiting. But there are open registers elsewhere if she wants to be rung up. She said no i must ring her up now. She knows the store manager. I have to help her. I, once again, told her no. She stood by the register for 20 minutes, just staring at me and yelling things like the cashier is so rude and refuses to help paying customers. (Yet I'm tending to 8 people at the same time). I finally get the chance to start ringing her stuff up and the entire time she is just going on and on about how she worked here for 9 years. She knows the store manager and the managers I work with. She is going to call corporate to complain and get me fired. I've been done with her stuff and is waiting for payment. All 8 self check registers are flashing red needing my help. I've repeated the total 5 times and she's still bickering. So I finally lost my patience with her and said look lady, i have 8 other customers who clearly need my help, I don't care that you know the store manager because i know him too. If you want to call corporate i would gladly give you the number. I don't care if you worked here for 9 years. All of that has nothing to do with how you plan to pay for these items. Once again the total is $. Will that be with card, cash, or check? She tried to bytch more so I just walked off to help the others. She finally paid and of course went to complain. A manager said next time she comes through self check just ring her up. Told them if I'm busy, not a chance in Hell. She can go through a regular register for that.
Worse job I've had.
One of mine is long but i will try to summarize lol. I worked at a big bookstore, most probably would recognize the name, and it was the week before Christmas so we were insanely busy at all times. The line was snaked around the store and every cashier was open, we had about 20 registers. We also offered free gift wrap. So i was waiting to wrap a gift for a customer chatting to the girl currently using the giftwrap station when this lady walks up to the counter and says she has a book on hold. Ok no problem if you could just wait on the line we'll grab it off hold and ring you up as soon as you get to a cashier. She goes off calling me a b**** saying that's not why she put it on hold. I explained hold meant she didnt have to go through the 4 floor building looking for it but we could not cut her in front of the line. I had finished gift wrapping while explaining this, the lady stormed off and i gave my customer his items and walked over to my supervisor to advise him he should probably take this lady as she was very nasty and he proceeds to POINT at her......?. So she sees and comes over and starts calling me a b**** and a c*** , i daid somethin like "oh I'm a b**** when you...." my supervisor then pushes me back to mu register talking over us and skips her in front of the line. My otger supervisor come out the office. He's this huge Italian guy, 6'4 about 300 lbs and usually quite rude but he liked me (friendwise) so we were cool. He comes over asking me what happened and as i am telling him i finish with my current customer and this woman vomes over again apparently having checked out and she has a fist, obviously holding something. She starts yelling at me and rears her fist back so my supervisor steps in front of me and catches a face full of coins the woman had planned to throw at me. Everyone froze, then the woman starts running, my supervisor vaults over the counter yelling call the cops and runs after her, his supervisor sees this and she starts screaming his name running after him. I broke down laughing so hard. He didn't catch her lol.
The other one is my current job. I do inbound customer service and was unable to complete a task this guy wanted as it went against policy. We went back and forth for ahwile and i was polite the entire time but firm about the policy. He told me he wanted me to take out a piece of paper, asked me if i had then told me to write i am an idiot over and over until i understood that's all i was an idiot. I stayed polite, logged off the phones and cried.
I had a regular who would come in every morning when we opened at 6, with his own oatmeal and would ask for hot water. Every time I filled it up for him, he told me I had my measurements off (I didn't, I know how much 2/3s is) and would then berate me on how women aren't as intelligent as men. My manager was a woman and we both had to stand there smiling and nodding as he insulted us.
I had another old regular who would never leave me alone, always asking how much money I made and trying to bribe me into a sugar daddy relationship with him. I wasn't allowed to tell him off, could only sweetly smile and say no thank you, and it made my blood boil.
I worked at as a hostess in high school. I had a older couple ask if they could have a specific table. When they asked though they just pointed in the general area they wanted. So I walked them over to the section and asked them to "remind" me which table they would like to sit at. The wife starts yelling at me. She called me a dumb b**ch, asked how I even kept a job, and on top of it all her husband started to gang up on me too. So I quickly sat them down, apologized, and went in the back and bawled my eyes out.
Also while working at a resale-based store, we had a lot of theft problems. Well, we had a customer and her friend in the store. They acted very sketchy the entire time they were shopping around so our manager had us watch them a little more closely. Well the girls went into a dressing room and came back out and headed straight for the exit. We ended up being able to block one girl from leaving and the other ran for it. She was in such a rush that she couldn't get her car door unlocked and tried to hop into the car through her window ? she ended up getting stuck like that and everyone just watched her hang half way out her car window.
So I don't know of any of you remember when McDonald's used to charge for sauces. I worked at McDonald's in high school and this guy came through the drive thru. I handed him his food he had a 10 piece nugget meal and asked for extra sweet and sour. I was like how many? He said 5 I was like okay your meal only comes with 2. He said I know I want 5 more so 7 right? I said I'm going to have to charge you. He got sooooo mad even though we had a sign he handed me a $10 bill and said that's how much sauce I want.
I thought it was funny because the managers had been telling us we have to charge for sauces. He pulled up and my boss had to walk out with boxes of sweet and sour for him ?. I just want to know what he did with all that sauce.
When I worked in retail during the holidays we didn't hold sale items it was first come first serve especially on limited stock. This man and his wife wanted a camera set but they were still shopping and it was the last one. I told them that they couldn't walk around the store with it due to security issues and that it couldn't be put on hold that if they wanted I could ring them up there now and so they wouldn't have to wait in long lines when they were done shopping to come back and I'll ring them up for their other purchases. The guy agreed but this lady over heard our conversation and started cussing me out! Telling me how rude I was and the customer is always right and I HAVE to hold the item for them. The guy buying the camera just looked at me like wtf is going on. Then the lady went to complain to about me to a manager. The manager later informed me the lady had been coming to the store everyday for the past couple weeks saying that it's te worst store every and she's never coming back but she was there everyday.
Oh the joys of working customer service. I have many...
This one happened a few weeks ago. This old guy comes in all of the time. He gives all of us a hard time. He used a card to pay, and he had to sign his name on the pin pad. He went off on me telling me that he doesn't want to sign on that, he wants to sign on a piece of paper. This guy is always in the store and never had an issue before signing on the pin pad. I told him I don't have a piece of paper for you to sign on. We don't do that anymore. He was screaming at me that he wasn't going to sign. I told him thats fine, I will just put his products back. No big deal. Then he starts screaming at me that i'm going to get him a piece of paper to sign. I said no, i'm not because we don't do that. He tells me I need to be more open minded because it's something we used to do and just still going off. He then signs and goes to my manager before leaving the store. He told my manager "tell that little batch that you guys used to do that and she needs to be more open minded". My manager told him okay I will talk to her. That made me so mad. You don't let a customer talk to your employees that way!
Man I got a lot lol.
I worked at Wendy's and had a lady who wanted a bacon and cheese potatoe. I was on sandwiches so I made it according to our procedure.
She returned it saying she wanted more cheese.
I fixed it.
then it was too much cheese, made a new one.
This lady returns this potatoe 7 times. I made it with it on the side and she still wasn't happy. She ended up throwing the potatoe at us thru the pick up window and drove off.
I had a lady curse me out because we closed early on Easter.
That's all I can think off but I have 11 years worth of stories haha
I have a couple ?
So the first two I was working at a grocery store when I was a teenager and one day I was ringing this guys stuff up who was probably in his early 40s. From the minute he came to the register he was flirting with me and towards the end he asked me for my number and I said no. The guy was getting kind of angry and kept trying to get it. Finally I said "Sir, I'm 16 years old." His face got so red and he walked away.
Also, when I was working at the grocery store I was working on a Sunday and in my state you can't buy alcohol until 12:30. So this guy comes up and it's 12 and I tell him I'm sorry but he can't buy it. He gets so angry and he keeps asking me to bypass the system. Finally my manger came up and told him it's the law and he finally shut up.
I worked at a fast food place and my first day I handed someone's food out the drive threw without checking to make sure it was correct. Like I said it was my first day. It was the wrong food and the guy proceeded to throw it at me. I was so embarrassed.
Finally, I'm an orthodontic assistant which is like a dental assistant but for braces and occasionally I would work the front desk. This woman calls to schedule a consult and asks if we accept Medicaid and I tell her we do but Medicaid does not cover braces. The woman gets angry and wants to talk to the doctor and ask why she doesn't allow Medicaid to cover braces. I had to explain to her 100 times that the doctor does not decide what Medicaid covers, the government does. She proceeded to argue with me for ten minutes and finally says I'm going to find an orthodontist where Medicaid covers braces.
Also while working as an ortho assistant I've had people ask me if their kid loses their baby teeth. A mom was shocked once that I told her that her child needs to see the dentist. She was like "you're suppose to see the dentist when you have braces" I literally screamed internally. This girl had braces on for two years and had never seen the dentist. And then another patient/mom was shocked that they're suppose to floss with braces on.
Another woman bought a ridiculous amount of water bottles, I'm talking insane. 200 or more from the dollar store. She first wanted a box. So I got her a box (the last one we had) but the box was too big. But it was the only one we had so she sighed and rolled her and eyes and gave me a "fine" but as long as we carried it to her car. I then had to count the different types of the bottles, so we could just to a quantity transaction instead of scanning every one. So I counted the one type, putting them nicely in the box, went around to the register to help the cashier with a quantity transaction. Lady knocks over the box. I offer to help fix the bottles in the box. No, leave them. Fine. So I add the next type, and she shrieks about them not being nicely placed. I was done. I told her I would count the bottles and she could place them how she wanted so they were correct for her. Finally finish this b**** 's transaction and send the cashier to help her take the box to the car. Parts with "they need to teach you some customer service here!" And leaves. Cashier comes in, saying "she offered me a job!" I was so beyond done, and it was close, that I just told her to clock out and go home. Proceeded to take my 15 minute break and cry in the back room, finish up, and go home.
Normally, one haggy customer wouldn't have broke me like that, but it was also the day I found out I needed blood work to see if I had a miscarriage, so I didn't want to be even there, let alone dealing with people like that.
When I was 17, I worked at dollar tree and a lady came up with the foil pans (the disposable ones) and a bunch of cans. I knew from experience that the cans would bend the hell out of the pans, so I or them into separate bags. The lady yelled at me about the amount of bags, called me stupid, a w**** , told me that I was too dumb to be a cashier and that she would get the manager to fire me. She literally made me cry. b**** then proceeded to forget her f*** ing phone at the register and had to come back for it. She then yelled at me for attempting to steal her phone (even though we locked it in the safe to prevent that) and would have literally slapped me if my coworker hadn't grabbed her arm. She then shrieked about him assaulting her until he pointed out there were cameras. I then proceeded to cry again.
Special name for those customers OP, I used to refer to them as c*** omers. Had plenty over the yrs when I was retail. it was one reason I went into warehouse work/forklift driving. Didn't have to deal with the s*** and the customers I did deal with were tradies and could take it if i told them to piss off lol
I had a bloke at the army barracks who was a civvie reduce me to tears oneday over a chicken sandwich. new prices meant it had gone up by 5 cents or so and he went off because he ordered everyday, he also went off because we were waiting for the morning delivery and didn't have an onion, i told him to piss off upto the local fruit and veg shop, buy an onion and i'd slice it for him if it meant so much. I then went out to my manager and broke down. I was attempting to quit smoking and hadn't had one for days and he was an arsehole that we would draw straws on serving. She went out, told him to piss off and we were there for the soldiers not him. She then threw a packet of smokes at me from behind the counter and told me to piss off and have a smoke lol. My otherhalf at the time was a trainer for the M.P's and the boys came over a few times over the next week or so to make sure he stayed in line.
Pp I was very fortunate to have managers that actually stood up for their employees.
Well except for an assistant manager I had. She was a batch haha.
I was getting a cart full of clothes from the fitting room to take back to my department. I guess some lady had left her cart full of things just in an aisle and left so one of my coworkers had grabbed the cart and had taken it to guest services because she didn't want to leave a cart of unattended items in the middle of the store. Anyway I had gone to grab some clothes real quick and the lady asked me where her cart had gone. I wasn't there when my coworker had taken the cart so I had no idea but I told her I would ask guest services if anyone had seen it. She left to go look for it herself and then another one of my coworkers who didn't know what was going on just made a funny comment about something unrelated. And like any normal person I laughed.
Anyway this lady comes up to me and starts yelling at me that I'm laughing at her. She's yelling really loudly and telling me that she knows the manager and she was going to tell them I was laughing at her. She didn't even get my managers name right. She kept calling her nicki when her name was Nicole. The store security was there and was completely shocked by this lady yelling. Anyway then guest services ends up telling me that her cart is in the front and I told the lady and she left.
I ended up telling my manager what happened and she had no idea who the lady was and she said she has never gone by nicki nor does she know anyone that would call her that. That's the only time I was ever yelled at by a customer.
The manager was really surprised anyone would yell at me because I was always so friendly and quiet. She rolled her eyes and told me not to worry about it.
Omg y'all these are crazy!
Same deli I worked at
There was a woman who came in several times. She was...odd? She would meow loudly and try to talk to other customers. She would say inappropriate things to the staff which most of them were high schoolers. She told me my eyes were deep like the ocean and wanted to explore them. She then purred (like a cat) very loudly. Man I don't know what was wrong with her but she was maybe in her 40's with short hair and openly discussed that she was a lesbian and looking for some pussycat. She repeatedly sent back her order after asking for ridiculous requests and then saying she didn't want those things. She always sat in my section too ?
She also got mad at my best friend who I hugged in the back room because her grandma had just passed. This lady saw it and then when I went to serve her she told me I could do better than that fat b**** . I refused to serve her after that. After 4 visits my manger told her to leave and not come back or she'd call the cops. This lady cawcawed like a freaking bird. Screamed eff you to the entire restaurant, winked at me then flashed everyone. She was arrested 20 mins later. ?
ETA I'm not interested in women (no judgement though) neither was my friend. Lol
And this lady had a beard. Like a full on lumberjack beard.
Customer can in and asked for a lighter. I pointed to the rack, which had the small and big bics of solid colors, big bics with designs, and the "crack" lighters. And asked "which one? They're all different prices" he just stood there. I asked again politely, smiling the entire time "which one? ". He then proceeded to get angry because I did not grab one, for all i know he was going to batch after grabbing the "incorrect one ". So I grabbed on and scanned it, told him his total and he proceeded to call me a "crack head looking azz batch ".
Time and a half was not worth it that forth of July.
I work in a "high end" dept store and get a lot of people that can't afford to commit to the higher prices so I have to deal with a lot of worn clothes returns. I've been at my job over 3 year so when someone bring me a return I know if it was worn as soon as it's handed to me. Anyways, this woman comes to my counter and hands me a pair of trousers saying "these didn't work out, I got them in the next size up. These are the ones that were too small" okay no problem. Only as soon as she hands them to me I notice how linty dusty and wrinkled they are. So I'm doing my usual inspection and yeah it has all the tell tale signs of being worn even the tag was removed and tied back on. Then I take a peek at the inside cause they literally look dirty everywhere and there DISCHARGE all in the crotch of the trousers ?
I didn't want to embarrass the lady so I politely told her unfortunately once the tags are removed we can no longer accept the return and the trousers are showing signs of wear as well. So she starts arguing me saying she never wore them and she bought them like that and the tag must have just fallen off and that they're only dusty from being in her car. So again I politely say "unfortunately there's significant signs of wear both on the outside as well as the INSIDE" trying to save this ladies dignity so she gets the hint and leaves. Well she continues to argue me and say she sees none of what I see and I must be crazy so finally I just flipped the pants inside out and said "ma'am unfortunately I cant take these back this is considered unsellable" ?
This lady snatched the pants out of my hands sooo fast and started yelling at me how this type of behavior is unacceptable and she needs my business card to complain ?
At least we both could agree that THAT behavior is unacceptable LOL
This lady came in to the restaurant I worked at and ordered desert a drink and the met expensive plate on the menu, which is not too expensive, her total comes down to around $16 she hands me 2 1's and a 5 and I'm just standing there waiting for the rest till she looks at me like I'm crazy asking why I'm not ringing up her order, (I'm not supposed to submit the order until it's been paid for) so I tell her it's not the complete amount, she then starts yelling at me telling me she gave me a $20, my boss goes to check the cameras and sees that she clearly gave me $7 (you could see me counting it and see the numbers on the bills) and he tells her she only gave me $7 she then gets mad orders 2 tacos and a drink, she takes 2 hours eating and refills her drink a million times. When she's done she starts yelling saying we have horrible customer service and flashes her boobs and butt to our customers on her way out. I felt honestly bad for her.
I mean this with 100000% sincerity, if you're rude, b**** y, or otherwise unpleasant to any sort of customer service person, I think you're the worst type of person. I'm not even exaggerating, because I always think that if you are okay with being unpleasant to someone who cannot fight back, that says a lot about your character (and not good things). No matter how s*** ty of a day or week or year I'm having, I always fake a smile for the cashier and use my manners. If the customer service person is rude, I still aim to be pleasant and then go up their food chain. Because if I am nice and calm when I complain, I'm more likely to be taken seriously.
I think everyone should be forced to work two weeks of retail every 5 years. Remind them what hard work, for s*** pay, it is and how it feels to be at the mercy of customers.
