Gotta love a guilt trip
My grandmother got so mad at me yesterday. Like she was honestly so disappointed in me because I don't give dd (18 mos) dessert after dinner EVERY night. I told her it's not a big deal, we aren't big into desserts really and she doesn't need to be having it every night. She literally wants to wire me money to buy ice cream for her to have. I'm Like she doesn't need to be eating that stuff all the time. Every once in awhile after dd finishes dinner I'll give her a pudding and share with her. She said dd shouldn't suffer because I'm trying to eat healthy *rolls ?*

I think that's just how a lot of grandmas are. I went to my grandma's house for dinner tonight and she just pushes food on everyone here. I could tell her ten times that I'm full, but she will tell me ten more times to make another plate for myself. My oldest son didn't eat very well, and she still insisted that he have some ice cream, a rice krispy treat, and some candy. I told her no multiple times, and I didn't give in and give him any, but she kept pulling the "oh, but he's at my house so let him have it. It's okay" card. Sorry, grandma. That's not how it works. I love her to death and she's a great lady, but when it comes to food and snacks and my kids, the woman drives me nuts.

Why on earth does a kid HAVE to have dessert every night? That's so bizarre. I generally give aliyn dessert BUT she gets a choice. Ice Block or ice cream, yoghurt or even fruit. She usually chooses an apple. Wonder if your grandma would consider that a dessert? lol

I know what you mean. You tell her your full and she's almost disappointed in you for being full. Lol. Always pushing food especially sweets when I'm already trying to watch what I eat. I was overweight when I became pregnant. She gets so sad. She tries to give dd ice cream right before bedtime. I'm like uh no wtf. Haha. She doesn't even like ice cream which is the funny part.

I swear it's just a grandma thing. My husband's grandma is the same way. I feel like I go up two pants sizes every time I visit. ?

Pp a dessert to my Grammy is donuts, ice cream, cake, cookies, chocolate anything.
Dd loves strawberry yogurt so I use that as a dessert some nights if she's not full.
This woman drives me crazy. I love her but with almost everything it's, "well my boys are/did this and they're fine."

My dad is the worst with these type of things and my kids know it. Whenever we visit they go straight to his room looking for him because they know he'll give them anything they want. He'll grab a coke and stick a straw in there and just hand it to them ? it makes me so mad. He'll give them endless amount of ice cream and candy he has a big sweet tooth so he always has some really drives me nuts when we visit and to think I'll be living there soon ?. Ugh I know I'm going to want tie him to his bed so he can't get up and give my kids anything. ( not literally but almost)

My grandma literally pressures me to eat so much food when I go to her house. Then we eat dessert, which is usually ice cream and cookies. Ugh it's a grandma thing lol.
I also remember her pretty much feeding me nothing but junk when I was a kid. I would ask for something and she would say yes every time.
