Eczema

So since finding out I was pregnant my eczema is the worst!! I literally can't find relief! Usually its not this bad and when it is I would take a round of steroid meds to clear it right up. I doubt I can take those now, so does anyone know of anything that works? Its getting to the point that I'm just embarrassed with how I look. Its on my hands, arms and neck! Not sure if there is a connection, but with my boys my eczema cleared up and with this pregnancy(baby girl) its so much worse?

I have suffered with eczema since I was born and when pregnant last time it flared up bad and it has just happened again last week. Patches all over arms, face, neck and chest! I have applied hydrocortisone cream twice daily and it is alot better now from a few days ago. Still itchy but redness going down

Mine has been worse with this pregnancy than with my two boys. I used hydrocortisone cream. Might not be strong enough for you but it has helped me. I get it worse on my face.

Have you tried wet wrapping? I’ve been doing that on my daughter. She has it really bad and it seems she needs oral steroids to help get control of it so she heals up. I’ve been putting a mixture of tea tree oil and grape seed oil on the bad spots. Then I get wet gauze and wrap her spots up and then place Saran Wrap over the wet gauze and put light pajamas over. It has helped with the healing.

I developed eczema after having my son, who will be 2 soon. Lots underneath my nostrils and is so so painful, red, and itchy with this pregnancy. I’ve tried EVERYTHING holistic, OTC, you name it. My next step is to rule out dietary options which I don’t want to do because....well, I’m pregnant and don’t want to give up carbs and sugars but it’s bad this time around.

I understand completely. I know my cousin uses The Apple cider vinegar for actor me and then after she’s done cleaning her face she takes coconut oil and put it on as a moisturizer so you could try that and see if it helps. ?? you’re welcome.

@kmjones thanks love! Ill try the apple cider vinegar now since I have that here at home! I think I've tried coconut oil in the past but didn't help too much. I've had eczema since I was 3 and usually takes heavy duty meds/creams to clear it up! I havent tried mixing coconut oil with essential oils so that will be added to things to try.

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?
