Clogged ducts. Put baby on the breast, massage, use a warm compress.

This is exactly what happened to me the other day, I was in hospital and hadn't fed off my breast for hours and a lactation consultant saw me in the hospital and realized I had multiple blocked ducts and had to massage them out while bub fed.

Thank you ladies so much for all the help!? I was able to clear it about an hour after posting this by nursing on all 4s. My gosh that was some serious pain! Breast still feels a little sore but soooo much better.

This is going to be uncomfortable but maybe try pumping/ nursing on all 4s likes cow . I have done this before and even though I looked silly it helped so much with my clogged duct try doing that and massaging at the same time.

This might sound crazy, but when I had a clogged milk duct the one thing that got it out the fastest was having my boyfriend "nurse" the side that was clogged. It's a little weird but it works! Lol

Sounds like a clogged duct. Get in the shower and milk yourself. Eventually you will see the little clog start to surface. Squeeze it out and oh man the relief you will feel! It may take a while...push down on your boob while you are expressing

Have baby nurse from that side as much as possible. Sounds like a clogged duct and they suck. Dangle feed!

If it's a clogged duct have LO nurse on that side frequently

Thanks so much girl. I'm trying to massage some more now. Would ask hubby for some help but he's sleeping on the couch since he's sick. With a sick husband and sick 4 year old this is the last thing I needed! I'm so exhausted.

The massaging definitely helps. Maybe it's clogged milk duct ? ? hope you get relief it's really painful. The engorged happened to me when I didn't pump and used just one breast to feed.. I usually exclusively pump and give her bottle

Its so painful! I'm just so confused as to whats going on! How can I be engorged yet barely anything is coming out. Oh and I also tried pumping and a few drops came out within a matter of minutes! So unusual for me. I need this milk to come out so I can have some relief!

One time My boyfriend massaged mine with lotion the cold felt good. He massaged it for awhile, it helped me lost some milk though ?. Hope that helps.
