Wow my insurance doesn’t cover anything and I’m afraid it will go into collections and go on my record so we can’t get a house in 2019?. We were able to afford everything before my husbands insurance kicked in but it’s expensive and doesn’t cover anything so we can’t pay medical bills. Also not everyone experiences pregnancy brain so they don’t believe it but I have it lol so I’m sure if you think you do you do I was on the phone to figure out how much a tire was and I stopped paying attention and totally missed the price. And I was never told to drink water other than staying hydrated but my dating ultrasound was transvaginal and they weren’t sure if I was closer to 6 weeks or 8 weeks. I’m pretty sure baby is still small at 8-9 weeks so I believe it may be transvaginal. I got my first abdominal at 12 weeks. Congratulations and good luck!

Goodness $300 for an ultrasound?! What type of insurance do you have?

Nikkie19 I have blue Cross Blue Shield hmo blue... my boyfriend was literally like omg, and stressed out a little bit. I think it might be because according to CT only one ultrasound is required... but my periods very greatly so they have to do a dating scan, I'm sure that is why insurance is bothering to help at all.

Alienhats I'm glad you understand what I'm talking about regarding pregnancy brain! It's driving me nuts, I have to make triple sure I have my keys because I'm super close to locking them in my car, and keep putting things in random places where something else should go that I thought I was holding! It's frustrating! Lol

And damn! Sometimes if you contact the hospital you can get payment plans, or discount if you prepay in cash etc, I've even heard certain places forgive the debt, just something to look into.

I just confirmed my pregnancy Monday!! I have my first ultrasound this coming Monday but the lady at the health department gave me an estimated due date of August 24 as well!! How awesome! I was on birth control for a while so I never had my period and when I did it was so irregular so I'm not 100% when my last period was so I gave her an estimated day. I get my official date at the ob Monday. So cool to come across someone with the same due date!

Congrats on the LO. And even at 32 weeks they tell me to come in with a full bladder for my ultrasounds. But you aren't that far along, so it might be a vaginal ultrasound, my 8 week ultrasound wasn't a vaginal. they will be able to see baby, and babies heartbeat. A lot better with a full bladder it elevates your uterus.

You might have to take a urine test. I do every time I go. At my dating scan I went in at 8w2d & they did it vaginally. I only got asked to have a full blatter at my anatomy scan.

I had to drink 32 ounces of water before my appointment. They did an abdominal u/s first, let me empty my bladder, then they did the vaginal u/s. Saw the heartbeat and how far along I am. That was at 8 weeks ?
