how much did u get? Im getting 2oz for a hlf hour session ...5days pp ..i feel like i dont get enough i try to pump…

Yea my daughter was also born at 37 weeks anf she also falls asleep as soon as i put her to my chest ...in same boat pp

I have to pump and have since the day after he was born! He was born at exactly 37 weeks so every time he gets up to my body he falls asleep! I will latch on but only nurses maybe two minutes max! The nurses at the hospital said to pump every two to three hours! I get about 3.5-4 oz each pumping but he eats that already and eats as soon as I am done pumping! I started taking a vitamin supplement that the county nurse suggested to help keep my milk because pumping alone can cause you to lose your milk faster!

You shouldn't pump until 4-6 weeks until your milk has regulated to what your baby needs. Pumping is NOT an indication of supply. It does not tell you how milk you are actually making.

I think 2 oz is good. I was making 2 oz per breast but I've only pumped less than a handful of times...I can't seem to find the time to sit and pump.

First week I had to give a formula top up after feeding and had only a few drops from pumping, after that my breasts filled up like crazy they started leaking for weeks after that and were rock hard

Now 6 weeks later I can pump 4oz from each breast in 15 mins

Agree with PP. trust your body, if baby seems full and there's enough wet diapers then they're fine.

Your babies belly is the sizd of a pea! 2 oz is fantastic! Dont stress! Most woman fear they dont producd enough.. As long as baby has 6 pee diapers a day your good!

I only pumped once the first week and I only got 2oz also.
