The doctor called.
They're going to discontinue her feeds altogether and remove her feeding tube. The feeds and medicines going in the way they are are what's causing her to be in respiratory distress. They are going to be inserting a couple of things under her skin to give her her medicine, that way she could sleep peacefully and be as comfortable as possible. It has been 3 days without any fluids or food, she has been awake and alert on and off but still very congested.
She is still very lethargic and not really reacting or responding to any touch, diaper changes and clothes being changed.
The girls can go to the hospice unit with us but I am trying to find someone to watch them for a while, so there is a little less to worry about.
We are not sure how much more time we have with her, but all I know is time is ticking.
