Good morning mommies, I can't help but to ask. What are the must haves for babies? Do I really need…

GM as I was a teen mom to my first all I could remember using was a bassinet and swinger. Cant remember how long but as for my other three I didnt buy nothing but a new crib. Some babies like the bouncers some dont. Its totally up to you if you want to buy all those things are ask a friend that may have had a baby to use theirs I'd they are no longer using what u listed and that will save a ton of money. Not sure if I helped or not

We used all of those things (except a rock and play) a lot. We have 3 levels in our house so it was convenient to have something to put baby in on each level so we didn't have to move things around when going level to level. But otherwise if we only had one level we would have only needed a swing and a pack and play (not a bouncer because our son hated his bouncer). We got some secondhand items to save money.

Honestly, I would say whatever you want and feel like will be good for your baby. Personally I feel like if it came down to it bottles, milk(boobies),blankets, LOTS of diapers and wipes. I had a lot of stuff for my daughter and I used everything! That’s just me though because I know so many people who never used half of the things I did. Burp clothes, play pen, cosleeper, paci clips lol just a lot of little things that made it easier for me as well. I would just think about your day to day and see what will help you realistically make things easier with baby.

For both my kids we only got the basics at first... A bedside bassinet & a crib. Oh, and a Diaper Genie. I swear by it after trying to go without it the 2nd time around... Nope! It's a necessity! Other things we got as needed based on baby. My daughter had a playpen and hated it. My son did not have one at first, needed it & loved it (he was all over the place). For me baby's bed, swing, bouncy seat, baby carrier. Helped me multitask with the other kiddos

Every baby is different!! My daughter loved the swing and rock and play glider for months we went through 3 swings. I have it all again for this baby. We have two swings just in cases! And the pack and play we had two with our first and she used one maybe once. We bought a new one for this baby but it’s a bassinet and changing table since we’re out of space. Get what you think!! And want!! Baby might and might not like it!

The swing was a life saver for me and I used it daily but some people say their babies hated it. A lot of people I know love the rock n plays because baby sleeps better in them but I personally refuse them because it’s not technically safe for sleep since the position it puts baby in (again I know a lot of moms who swear by it). I used the pack n play mostly as a changing table in my living room but I could have gone without it. If you are getting a bassinet or crib it’s not really necessary. You can get a bouncer swing combo but I actually had a separate bouncer in my bathroom so strap baby in when I took a shower and was getting ready in the morning and would bounce her with my foot. It was a life saver for me but really not a necessity. You can always go out and get something after baby is here if you decide you need it
