I had to take labetalol for high bp with my last pregnancy and my son came out healthy. I also took it while I nursed him for a while and he's fine. It helped manage my bp because I had preclampsia during my last pregnancy

@txmomof5, he said because my blood pressure was elevated every visit and I had a couple of issues with my face tingling he thought it was Bell’s palsy but it wasn’t the Medicine has helped but my heart rate is still really high well off and on

I know they weren't finding protein in my urine at the office but my blood pressure was going up and I was seeing white floaters in my vision. So in did the 24 hr and the amount of protein in that was really high. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia 3 weeks ago and my blood pressure is continuing to rise.

I was monitored in l&d yesterday my blood pressure meds are only working for a couple hrs a day and the it goes on the rise again. So next weeks appt we will be discussing induction.

My doctor made me get off tramadol while pregnant because it can hurt the baby it’s a pain medicine and they put me on baby aspirin for blood pressure

@txmomof5, it’s weird because whenever I come in the office they always say they don’t find any protein but when I did my 24 hr test the protein amount they found was higher than it was suppose to be..... he said if he take him now it wouldn’t be able to breath so we would wait until 35 weeks to talk about having a baby..... I called the nurse and asked her last appt did they find protein in my urine and she said no so I was like well why did my doctor say in the 24 hour it was high... high enough for him to be concerned she said they don’t test for the same thing as the 24 hour test I was so confused

@briatta same here and they said something about preeclampsia and put me on aspirin 81, tramadol is a narcotic ! hell no

I'm on the same stuff. 100mg twice a day. Depending on high your blood pressure is and the amount of protein the meds benefits outweigh the risk. At least for me they do.

I was on baby aspirin but just got switch to blood pressure meds.

Tramadol is a narcotic pain med. Why would your doc use them for blood pressure.

I swear those are muscle relaxers, mine gave me aspirin

@raquely, no he put me on a low dosage and said he will watch me and baby for the next two weeks and that we will talk about having a baby after 35 weeks I had a high dosage of protein in my 24 hours urine test also
