When deciding on which baby foods to feed your child did you stick to your original decision to make them homemade, organic, natural or did you choose whatever was available?
For 2 months I'd given my son homemade and beechnut organic or beechnut natural baby foods. Now that I have wic at 7 months my family strongly suggests I give him Gerber (or the beechnut classic) because thats what they used.
Any suggestions?

Well there’s a difference between choking and gagging. In my situation I wasn’t concerned if she was gagging cause babies have a sensitive gag reflex and she was learning how to swallow and chew on her own. Once they start getting a hold of eating solids the gagging will stop

@bitchcraft I love baby led weaning, he just doesn't swallow well yet. Loves celery though. When he learns to swallow i think I'll go back to weaning.

@mamaways, we did baby lead weaning about 6-7 months. She was disinterested in purees and has done well eating on her own since

Home made purees and then as she grew out of purees she ate whatever and now she eats meals with us.
