Share your tips with everyone!
I thought it would be fun and helpful for one another if everyone shared a tip or technique they use for their baby. It might help us learn something that we can use for our own little ones.
I've noticed a hard tummy and when my baby doesn't want to bend when I try to sit her on my leg it's a true sign of gas. I usually can get a big burp out of her then I try sitting her on my leg again and leaning her forward and patting her back and usually get burps and sometimes toots! Also massaging her left side helps when gas is stuck.
My nicu nurse told me that this has worked on babies she's had that were inconsolable after baby was fed, warm, clean diaper. This doc developed this shake thing where you hold the baby at an angle and kinda shake their butt a little. It's hard to explain lol.

Also for gas pains try doing bicycle kicks for them to help them get it out.
@Baird: ? I'm seriously going to have to try that one. It seems like Matt always wakes up when I try to sneak him into the rock n play.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
My mom use to do this to me and brother ...when baby is gassy or stomache rub warm almond oil on the belly just rub it clock wise it will calm it and soothe ..it works wonder I did it with my two daughters .
