using tampons with an iud
I got the Mirena placed about two weeks ago, I've been having light bleeding on and off ever since. Pads dry me out down there and make me itch. However, when I tried to put in a tampon it wouldn't go in all the way, like something was blocking it.

Yea I would probably ask the dr. I never had my period while I had the mirena so I never used a tampon with it.

I would definitely ask your doctor. I've had the mirena a little over 2 months and I've used tampons the whole time.

well not really every day but when I'm spotting I use one.

I had paraguard and was able to use tampons. Maybe the strings are too long?
