Foley Bulb Came to the the hospital last night to be induced, been here 22 hours, having contractions every couple…

I had one. It really doesn't. Just try and relax while they do it. It's really fast.

I had my LO last Tuesday and was in labor 52 hours. At 46ish hours I was dilated enough to put a foley bulb in so they done that and not even an hour later I had to get an epidural the pain was so bad. Not saying this happens to everyone but it did me. Then my epidural didn't take and I never dilated past a 5 because LO was tangled in the cord which we didn't know, I ended up begging for a csection lol.

But the foley bulb did honestly hurt me a lot but so did cervix checks.. I hope yours goes better than mine did.

Edit: it is pretty fast though like pp said. A student doctor put mine in and she was pretty fast too, I'm sure a doctor would've been quicker. Try not to tense up because I did and it made it 100000 times worse.

Its a quick process but it did hurt me while they put it in. I have issues with cervix checks too so I am sure for others its painless. You will feel crampy but nothing unbearable. I had mine put in at 3 pm on Wednesday and it fell out at midnight and then at 5 am they started pitocin and I had my baby at 3pm on Thursday. I hope everything goes well for you!

They're going to give me fetanyl to relax me and then try to do it, the midwife got called to a delivery though, so it might be a little while longer
