Pizza dough, without yeast is essentially going to give you something resembling a bland cracker. Which if you’re making a thin crust or flatbread style pizza may be something you would like. But if you want flavor and a good texture to your pizza crust you’re going to want to use yeast. It takes pretty much no time. Mix the dough and leave it for an hour, then the doughs ready to use. Dough that ferments longer with have a stronger flavor, but the recipe I usually use only takes an hour. I use the recipe by Sally’s baking addiction. If you’ve never made yeast dough, that’s a good beginner recipe as she walks you through exactly what you need to do.
