I though you only needed to decontaminate the room if they were cooking the drugs in it?

@tasha I plan to do that. I am a sahm now so I can spend all my time making sure they take responsibility (research and filing). His mom is going to take care of them. She told me she is drug testing them and making them do counseling. I personally think she gave them the meth. But what ever they are her problem now. Tomorrow we are going to take all their stuff to my dads storage. It's going to be a long day. My back is already killing me. (Auto accidents ruined me)

@azn I know my dad still thinks I'm overreacting on pressing charges. But I don't think so. Buuuut he was a POS dad for a while there too. I found burnt spoons in the laundry room when I was a young teen. I'm not stupid. And my mom thinks love is a cure. I love her dearly and she doesn't deserve the stress this is causing but she didn't advocate for us when my dad was using. I'm not going to be a pushover and allow my DD to be subjected to that lifestyle. If I have to cut my entire family off to protect her I would. I'm grateful for my other sister she's amazing and has helped sooooo much though this all.

On top of all of this. I found out my grandpas pace maker is going out and he's to fragile to have the surgery for a new one. ???????? they said maybe 6 months to a year ???????

I wonder, just out of curiosity, can you sue your sister and boyfriend for the cost of decontamination? With her being charged with drug-related crimes, I can't imagine it would be hard to rule in your favour in small claims. Just spit-balling.

You are doing the right thing. If your dad can't see that, that's on him. Not you. Protect your LO, cause if they were using meth, that's dangerous for your baby, even if she was upstairs.

I am! I'm going to the courthouse to get a protective order today. Their stuff should be out of my house by the end of tomorrow. So that's the end of that. But testing surfaces and Rooms, decontamination still might be needed. So the stress will still be here, but at least I should feel a little more at ease with their belonging gone.

It keeps getting worse. If the pipes that were found are meth pipes the health department is going to make us leave for decontamination. ? I have to get my entire house tested. And if we have a professional company do that it's $750 for just testing each room! Then the process of actual decontamination will cost more!

She has lived here since may. She's established residency. Luckily she doesn't want to come back. Nor does the Bf. Today we are calling victims advocate to see what steps I need to take to get a protective order.

As far as I know, nothing was done in front of my DD. The types of drugs are unknown. But found pipes. Could be meth, crack, heroine (I've never done any of those so I don't know what from what and google hasn't helps much in that department). We have a mortgage on this home, they were supposed to start paying rent in October. Since I've been a sahm since the end of June.

I am not dropping any charges. Never in my life would I back down on something that could have potentially harmed my daughter. This is war. Well civilized through the courts war at least.

I'm sorry, maybe you posted this on the other thread but how old is she?! I understand no one is perfect but that does not include doing drugs in your home! I hate enablers just as much as I hate addicts. They will always act like this if they keep getting chances. Please don't drop the charges, since everyone else in her life is coddling her, maybe this will be the wake up call that she really needs. She needs serious help and maybe a judge will order rehab. Your family sucks for not siding with you. You are not overreacting. Once she screws them over, they will see. Just wait.

What kind of drugs? Legal or illegal? Are you both paying rent? Was it done in front of your lo? Did you know she did drugs before you lived with them?

Parents often enable their addicted children, or play the denial card. It's terrible. The parent instinct is just too strong sometimes. Some cases, it takes hitting rock bottom to realize they need to change. I wouldn't allow them to see her either. Wouldn't want my baby to be there when things go awry.

I am doing a very similar thing right now. My sister is a screw up no drugs are involved but my sister can be very aggressive and I have had enough of it. i am distancing myself before my little boy comes. I miss out on a lot of family days because she is there but I would prefer that then introduce my son to such an awful atmosphere xx
