I feel like an idiot

My DH has a large extended family and a lot of them can't be in the same room together or get a long. I have spoken to them all and told them that, I will be inviting everyone to birthday parties. No drama will come from DH and I and I don't think it's right that the kids suffer and don't know their family, because adults don't get along. They can try to use this as a new beginning. I wasn't on speaking terms with DH's brothers for a long time, they weren't allowed at my house. I stuck to my rule and invited them to DD's next party. We all are on speaking terms again and get along.

Yeah. This is going to end badly. He wants an apology from my SO... that won't go over well.

I guess with that said. He's not coming. ? but it is what it is. He said I'm shady for not inviting his side of the family and only mine. It's my birthday! And I don't want drama.
