While baby is sleeping..

Do you vacuum? Or do anything noisy?

As a newborn I used to vacuum & hairdryer in same room & she'd sleep through. Now as a toddler I vacuum & use hair dryer in house but not in same room.

She was used to noise & quiet then. The noises she would hear everyday such as vacuum, hair dryer, shower, talking etc she would sleep through. Something 'new' or higher pitched like the door bell would wake her though.

Yes I always have when my kids were babies ... That's how you get the days and nights thing established ...

Yes, if I didn't, we'd live in a pigsty! And if they wake before I finish.. they deal until I'm done! ??

I have an 11 month old daughter, so our two week old son has been used to noise since he came home lol.

I wish I would have! It has to be really quiet for DD to sleep, but she must have a fan on.

I do everything I would do if the baby was awake. Laundry, dishwashing, mopping, whatever. I don't vacuum, but that's because I don't have a carpet.

I was amazed we took DD to see Logan in theaters and she slept through most of it! So I bet vacuuming won't be an issue. Lol

I always tell people baby is sleeping so they don't go wake her up, but they start to be super quiet and I try to tell them it's ok to be noisy. Just don't purposely pick her up to wake her lol

Not really. I mean we still live our lives lol like watch tv at a decent volume, turn lights on, close doors etc..but I take care of all the noisy chores before bedtime. Both my girls can sleep through lots of things and also my youngest falls asleep to Kenny g every night but I just like to consider anyone when they're sleeping so if I don't have to do anything that requires alot of noise I dont during that time.

Yeah, noise doesn't bother her. Pretty sure my kid could sleep through a frat party.

Oh yeah. I clean the house, cook, have music going. Makes life a whole lot easier when you don't have to walk around on egg shells while the baby sleeps.

I'm planning to do this with this baby. With my 3 kids I was always quiet so they have super light sleep.

My friend takes her baby to BBQ's and she sleeps even when there's laughing and loud music. She's just used to it. I'm planning to do that with this baby coming in July

We have a pack n play in the living room that she naps in .. the tv is on, I do chores, and make a normal amount of noise.. at bed time she sleeps in her crib and the only noise is the humidifier and box fan .. she's been a perfect sleeper from about 2 months on

I don't try to be quiet. But it's just DD and I at the house most days and I normally vacuum when she's awake. I wonder if she will wake up if I do it while she's sleeping. ?

My daughter is two and up until recently she would freak out whenever I vacuumed. I had to start vacuuming during her nap time just so she wouldn't scream the whole time I vacuumed. Noise has never bothered her when she slept though.

White noise machines! Lol. I have one but I have to use it because dd is such a light sleeper any noise will wake her. Now I can't sleep without it ha. I am completely quiet during nap time otherwise she'll wake up and won't go back to sleep.
