Lol! Maybe bring something to wear under it to cover your skin. It is itchy!

Ugghhh, I'm dreading wearing those again!! Those made me itch so bad! I would make my husband scratch my legs, & I would get so angry when he didn't scratch hard enough. It was to the point where I told him that I didn't care if he took my skin off in the process, just scratch harder!!!!! ?

Thank you! I hope so too. She's been taking the meds for a month. Still has two more than months to go. Pray it finishes the job and her body heals quickly.

Bless her heart! I hope they get rid of it soon!.. I had them after my csection but they were the least of my complaints lol!

Thank you so much! They have done a good job so far. I'm all for instant gratification lol but I know somethings take time. I guess I'll be reasonable ?

Are you still getting chest pain? I had terrible chest pain after my csection and it was so bad I could barely breath. One of the nurses got some cream stuff to rub on my back and it helped me breath again. I hope you're ok!

I hated those. They were uncomfortable while I was trying to sleep and made me itch so bad.

I asked if I could take mine home, I really liked them. I was excited after my laparoscopy because they said I could wear them for 10 mins

rayofmysunshine

RayOfMySunShine

Yeah my nurse told me that ? but it's not bothering me. My chest pain is the worst. Making it hard to breathe so these bad boys are actually comforting me lol

Yep had to wear them for almost 24 hours after my c-section. And no, you can't take them off to sleep

@nurseratchet my little sister is being treated for DVT right now. She's on blood thinners for a few month. She says it's mentally exhausting. One of her clots isn't doing anything the the others are thinning. Scary stuff!

No, but if it's like a massage.... ? count me in! Lol

Yup I had those for when I went under for my stent for my kidney stones. I was 7 months pregnant

deleted-user

I had an allergic reaction to them! And the nurses didn't believe me until I literally scratched myself bloody through them. When they finally took them off and my legs had huge red rashes and scratches I was told "Wow, I've never seen someone react like that to them." Yeah, sure, I was just being dramatic. 12 hours of pain and itching from them. ???

I know they are annoying but it's much better than getting a DVT..??

Man, those things gave me a panic attack. I wasn't allowed to get up and move around until the magnesium wore off, but I BEGGED the nurse to take them off. I was losing it ?

I hated them. The nurses said until I started walking they had to stay on. So once I started going to the bathroom my DH started massaging my legs and helping me stretch.

deleted-user

I literally had to wear them 24/7 plus those tight socks when I had my second due to clotting issues. They got incredibly annoying

I had to have them when I got my dnc after I gave birth. At first they felt nice but then they just got extremely annoying n I wanted to rip them off.

I had to have them on. I hated them! I was so uncomfortable as it was and they were always slipping down my leg or turning sideways. They were so annoying ?

Well it helped soothe me to sleep actually. I can hardly breathe because my chest muscles are so strained. And my body is weak and hurting. So I've had a few hours of sleep. I'm gonna try pumping, wish me luck!

I had them on my feet and hated them. Made me sweaty.

SCD pumps. Most of my patients have to wear them and it's always either they love them or hate them

They annoy the eff outta me.

I hate things touching me. Squeezing me is worse

They look scratchy, hope you manage some sleep!

I got given socks with my csection. They were really tight and it took 2 nurses to help me get them on. But once they were on they were super comfy! After surgery I wore the socks, the huge nappy pad things and a hospital gown. So stylish ?

With my first I had those!! With my second I had them in my feet! I agree, it feels like a massage! They get annoying after a couple of days though lol

I'm sure my nurses would understand if I took them off for a little to get much needed rest

I haven't tried sleeping yet. Which I should try... this is my first time. I'm surprised I didn't have then when I delivered, same hospital.

Had them with all 5 of my c-sections. Can't stand them! Made sure I got up and walked as soon as I could so I could get them off. Sleeping in them is the worst!

I had them after all my csection. I would enjoy them for a while. Then after a bit they would annoy me.
