help. clogged duct no milk
I've done warm compress and massage. Not helping. I am at work so I can't nurse all day. And pumping is not helping just making my nipple more swollen. This is miserable. Any other things I can try to help my milk to flow??? Milk isn't coming out of both sides and just the left side is clogged .
Headache is so bad ? I can't really move. This is brutal
Lol the baby got some milk and I pumped after and it's stringy!! He would be so mad if I didn't tell him. But if I do he won't. Going to hot shower and do the comb thing.
Thanks for all the info mamas. Idk what I'd do right now without BB. I'm doing my best to try everything.
It is miserable! For baby and I. She's getting so mad at me every time I try to give her my left side. Poor baby, I feel like this is torture. I've been pumpin for 20 minutes I had milk start to pour out so I decided to give it to her and she wouldn't take it! So now I have to find that sweet spot again. My nipple is so swollen from pumping and trying to feed her one that side. I hope it clears up soon! Going on about 4 days now.
I had a milk blister with my third that had me miserable for a week or more. Took a while to figure it out. Salt water helped. I've never been so clogged that nothing came out. You have lots of ducts, so I'd be exploring why all of them are clogging. Good luck OP! This sounds miserable.
To do pressure massage, start at the edge of the lumpy area closest to your chest wall. Apply pressure to that area with the heel of your hand to the point just before it becomes too painful. Hold the pressure at that level until the pain eases off. Then increase the pressure again, (without moving your hand) and hold it until the pain eases. Continue to gradually increase pressure at that same site until you are pressing as hard as you can. Then pick your hand up, move it down toward your nipple about a half inch, and repeat the pressure massage in this area. Continue moving your hand a half inch and repeating the massage until you get all the way down to the nipple.
When you nurse Bub, put them on the sore side first as their sucking is strongest at first.

I soaked in a hot Epsom salt bath. It felt like it loosened up. But baby still can get anything. I've tried feeding her on the opposite side to feel a letdown but it's so engorged I can't feel it.
I noticed the blood when I went to check for the white thing. Idk if baby is biting out of frustration. She has her two bottom teeth. But this is the first time in 6 months. Idk if that is prone to get them. And my OB doest work weekends. LOVELY right? The recording says in an emergency go to the hospital. Not sure if I categorize this as an emergency.
Bleeding? Did you do the pop thing that was suggested? If you did that well that's what caused the bleeding. If you are prone to having clogged ducts, I would advise you to use a comb and comb out your breast. Start from high up by the neck line straight out to the nipple so it and also do from under your arm pits straight out. The combing helps the milk to flow easy. Got this from an old midwife. It works. Hope it helps
When I had a clogged duct I was way too rough squeezing my boob cuz it freaked me out and I wanted it gone. I ended up massaging it out but had a little blood in my milk after. Anytime I had BFing issues, i called my OB. Have you considered calling your Dr? Just keep at it and you should eventually be able to work it out.
Couldn't find any. ... but it's bleeding is that normal?
Happywife is exactly right. Look closely for a white dot the size of a pin head on your nipple and when you find it, that's the clog. You can gently squeeze it, wipe it with a hot rag, or gently scratch at it until it comes out. Have your pump or the baby ready because it will likely spray everywhere. I dealt with those all the time when I was nursing.
I asked my SO last night and he gave me the craziest look. And asked why the baby couldn't do it.
I'll try pumping longer and on all fours. I stole someone's office that isn't working today. I normally pump in the restrooms
Keep pumping!! How long are you pumping for? I would try and pump until it releases (up to 30 min) I used to massage the area while pumping on all fours (hopefully you have a private room at work to do that because ? not the best look) good luck mama!! I used to get clogged ducts ALL OF THE TIME!! ? the worst
This is day 3. I got an oz when I pumped the clogged side yesterday and fed baby on that side when I got home.
Help my milk duct keeps getting clogged
I was thinking I have another clogged milk duct, hard spot on my breast..... I have nursed my daughter on that side first the last 3 feedings and the spot won't go away 😦 help mamas!!
I broke down at my moms house today ... because of the debt we owe and Passover is coming and it’s a very expensive holiday ... it was just way too much .... my mom i guess told my brother that I’m suffering and he called me over and asked me why i didn’t just ask for help, and offered to help when i need it . And gave me basically 4K to help for the month and if i need more to ask ... now one thing about me , is that i will suffer silently and won’t ask for help.... I’ve always been that way. ...
Ok ladies I need help, I have a clogged milk duct and a really huge lump In my boob is there any way I can get rid of it without having to go to the doctors it hurts really bad
So my milk came in last night and im having the same problems i did with my first born my son wont latch to my right side because my milk is so full my nipple is barely their and ive been pumping that side while he eats on the other side and im getting about 2 ozs every session but that boob still is engorged how can i help it.
Yeah. I was just about to comment that I think it's more than a clogged duct. I think it's mastitis. You think I'll be ok to go in tomorrow? The office is closed today. I seriously cannot move. My shower almost made me faint. This is scary ? I've been sick, didn't think it was related. But as time goes on I really think it's all related. My SO was sick this past week. So that's why I thought I was. But how I feel is not good. I didn't go to work Friday, went in Saturday but could hardly do anything. I've been bed ridden the last few days. I already let my boss know I won't be in tomorrow. Do I have to go on bed rest after antibiotics?
