I only pump for about 5-10 minutes and if she just nursed I'll get about 3 oz on the side she nursed from. If she didn't just nurse roughly 6-7 oz on each side. Drink lots of water and eat lots of oats and nuts. I also read that chia seeds help.
I pump between 3-5 oz within a 10-15 min pumping session
My baby is 6 weeks and I only pump 2-1/2 to 3 oz every 2-3 hrs only If I don't nurse but if I pump after a nursing session I'll be lucky to get 1/2 an oz

I eat oatmeal, drink tons of water, pineapple juice, gatorade, bolt house farm green goodness and the blue one. I pump only when I'm working... like right now, I got 3.5 Oz from my right side. Probably will get close to 2.5 from the left. And I thought I wasn't pumping a lot... I'm glad I asked. Lol I feel much better!
Eta: drinking all of that is work! Lol. Plus I eat healthy ?
That's a lot. It's more than the average. More than probably what your baby is needing. Any more than that you'll have an oversupply which is no good. I pump anywhere from 2-5 ounces. Usually just over 3 ounces which is how much my lo takes each feeding. The bigger pumping sessions are from once in the early morning.
I get about 5 or 6 oz too but I only pump once at night and it's when my baby hasn't ate in a while since he's sleeping thru the middle of the night feed now...if I were to pump any other time I barely get 2oz
No kidding, ^^ I get 2oz a session and feel content with that. I'd love to make more but no prescription, tea, nut, oat or amount of water has worked its magic on me!
That's actually a lot for a pump session! I would be pretty happy with that!
I'm getting around the same amount. I'm going to start eating oatmeal and taking fenugreek tablets this week to prepare for going back to work at the beginning of next month.
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
what works better to get more milk? A hand pump or a electric pump?
Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Trying to get a breast pump through my insurance feels about impossible 😣 United health care is awful. I have a prescription for a pump, but they're seriously making me jump through hoops. My insurance will cover a non medical gender test no questions asked, but try and order a pump to feed my kid, and they act like I'm asking for $10,000!! I'm determined to get this pump for free. If not, guess we will have no choice but to buy one 😡
Anyone get a breast pump through insurance?
