membrane sweep What was your experience after having one?

I had it done with my first and it made me crampy, like period cramps and then I went into labor that night. It wasn't horrible at all. And it worked for me.

I was hoping it would work. I guess I will just hope she comes on her own before we are induced on the 4th

I went into labor like 6 hours after having it done. But it was so painful and I was stuck in labor for like 2 days not sure if that's why. But I'm not doing it this time around

Mine was fine, it was uncomfortable but thats to be expected. I had It at 40 weeks at 4:30pm went into labour at around 11:30 that night & had my baby girl at 5 the next morning so i guess my body was ready for it :)

I had my membranes stripped twice in one week and still had to be induced. So didn't work for me.

My doctor had sharp fake nails ?

I had it done with my second pregnancy, i went into labor 25 hours later! It was painful but carrying that baby was more painful lol it was time to evict! Lol

I didn't really feel much a little pressure but it didn't kick off labor either. Maybe doctor was too gentle everyone else says it hurt.

Lol my ob has done all my paps and my colposcopies requiring a biopsy and I always felt like he did great. I think it's just the way my baby is engaged that makes things more painful.

My doctor is a female, she's a little lady. Idk if I'd say yes to a man with big hands lol

Maybe if I do it I need to request girl hands lol

I had one done today. Have had some crampy feelings and stronger contractions but every once in a while, nothing consistent. It was just like a cervical check. I barely noticed she did it.

I'm curious about this as well.

I didn't feel mine :) and labor started within 24 hours

Horrible . Very painful . Bled horribly and had to go deliver the baby 5 hours later because of how much I was bleeding.

Goodness, sorry that it was a bad experience for you! I know it's like 24 percent chance of having the baby 48 hours after is completed... how far along were you when you had it done?

Worst experience. Painful and didn't even help kick me into labor :(
