Need advice

Hi everyone! So I've been stuck on trying to figure out what I want to devote my time to for college. My passions are to help people but I also love and adore children. I was a K-Focused Reading Corps tutor so I gained some experience working with children in an educational format but also I've babysat a lot of children in my childhood through adolescence so I'm really torn on what I would be good at going into as something in a career. I've been toggling this idea for so long and I don't want to continue, so I'm seeking advice from other's to give me feedback. My options I'm looking at are: LPN or RN specifically want to work in NICU, Nursery or in L&D or child development/possibly preschool teacher or so forth.

Nan: thank you for your advice. I thought about social work before but I'm not so sure I could handle very bad situations with children especially if they are in any type of harm. It would break my heart. As of right now, I don't have much support with my children and they are still young. 4 year old son as 2 year old daughter. They're only 15 months apart so very close in age. I think ultimately; it falls on what will make me happy in life. I feel children are the center of what makes me truly happy but I'm passionate about helping people so it's so hard to pick a career that falls under my two passions.

U love ppl and children. What about social work. If u use ur options, nursing pays more but working with kids would be more regular hours. Depends on ur support to watch ur kids. Here nurses work 12 hour shifts. I personally couldn't do with kids.
