Dh gave me a ring! We married young and could only afford $100 promise rings (nothing wrong with that) and he saved up and bought me something beautiful! Ironically I did the same for him!

So boyfriend just told me if I wanted to choose my engagement ring or if I wanted him to choose it for me and make it all romantic.. I chose to choose the ring my budget it $4k so exciting!!! What boyfriend allows that!! I chose my promise ring too!
