I would keep the baby pictures but trash anything that SS isn't in. And keep them in a safe place! Sadly I lost SS baby pictures because of a similar situation.

Don't throw them away! Just let him keep them taped away under his bed? I don't see why not. Or talk to him about putting them away some where. I honestly think your husband should do the talk. When I scroll through my DF pictures I see a family photo of his son just being born, in his hand with his ex. I roll my eyes at the sight that he was ever with her miserable ass but I don't say anything because I have same photos like that with my ex. It's definitely for my son, he deserve to see us happy at one time. And not even so much of seeing us happy "together" but to see his parents with him.

Maybe I'm the odd one out here but my parents split before I turned 2 years old. They have ONE picture of them together and it was SO weird seeing it. I've never once wished they had more pictures together or even thought twice about it. It's actually really awkward to see them together

Children should be allowed to have a photo of their parents together, put on your big girl panties and get over it. If doesn't matter if a child was made of love, he was created by two willing people.

Please don't throw them away. My mother threw away every picture of my father she ever had. I'm 34 and would absolutely love a picture of them together. I have one photo of me and my dad when I was a baby. It's my most treasured picture. They aren't yours to toss, they're your SS. You don't know how important photos can be when you're grown and a step or parent tossed them because they didn't want to see them anymore. Pack them away until he's ready to deal with them.

To be honest we're throwing them away.

Three years ago when Hex broke in with her bf at the time and destroyed our entire house. About a month later we found a box hidden in our walk in closet that read "Goodbye..." and was filled with expensive unwanted jewelry and relationship memorabilia. Dh told her if she wants that stuff for SS then keep it with her.

And SS wasn't made from love. He was made because Hex lied about being on birth control "to always have a little piece of Dh in case he ever left her" and Dh was stupid enough to believe her.

She shouldnt have hid them like that because secrets are not good. Go and buy a small album or another box for them to go in.

I had photos of my parents wedding and a few of my parents, me, and my sister. I always thought it was nice to see that at one point my parents actually talked and my sister and I were made from love. I find it kinda creepy though that she told SS to hide them.... and tape a box shut.. like why? Did she know that was weird and didn't want you finding out and throwing them away?

I agree with Hay I have pictures of me and my ex together with our son they are in a box that my son won't see till he's 18 if he asks my husband knows about them but I feel like kids should know their parents did get along at one point my mom and dad divorced and I saved our family pictures and their wedding pictures lol

As weird as this sounds I sometimes think it's good for SS to see photos of his parents and him or his parents when they were happy so he knows he was made in love not hate.... cause hate is all he sees now... but my hex didn't drop off a box. That might be over the line.... I'd put them in the attic and SS can have them when he's 18. And I'd probably get rid of any that at just dh and hex....

We were paranoid and it took us about two hours to finally open it. The creepy thing is I've seen the box before. It was in another box on our porch when we were still unloading our moving truck. It wasn't taped then.

So on the surface it looked like scrap booking stuff. We found some photos of baby SS and Hex's mom in an envelope.

Dh insisted Hex always hides things so we pulled all the pages apart and found a ton of lovey dovey photos of Dh and Hex. Also a couple family photos of the three of them.
