bloodwork before trigger & IUI?
Is it normal that my doctor didn't have me do blood work at my baseline or mid sono/follicle scan? Someone asked me what my estradiol level was today at my scan. What is estradiol? Should my blood have been taken before the trigger tonight and IUI on Wednesday. Sorry for so many posts. 1st timer.

As long as at your baseline scan, you didn't have any cysts, there was no need for bloodwork before an IUI cycle. Also, you took femara, right? Femara is an estrogen inhibitor, so while typically there is an estrogen level of around 200 per mature follicle. Femara lowers this significantly and doesn't give them an insight into follicle maturity at all. So that is likely why it wasn't checked.

Estradiol or E2 measures the amount of mature follicles I'm assuming they didn't check because doc saw 1 or 2 large instead or 4 or more. Sometimes they will cancel a cycle if to many mature. I didn't have my E2 monitored until u had 5 + measurable maturing follicles. Granted my RE didn't cancel my cycle because nothing was working. 5 cycles of IUI with 2 or 3 having 5 or more mature follicles and E2 levels being over 2 or 3 thousand and still it didn't work. So Dr has sent me in to do labs because I mentioned to him how itchy I’ve been these last couple of days. Any other moms gone through this before? He mentioned if something came up in my blood we’d have to do my section sooner than what it is scheduled for.
IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

So my scan letters have come..
But I have one for a nt scan and a obstetric scan. Why do I have 2 appointments? What does this mean?
