mastitis
Is it possible to get it after 5 months of no bf?? I'm in so much pain. My nipple has a huge lump under it and on my agenda it's really red and puffy. My boob hurts all over. My nipple is on fire it feels! I can't wear a bra and it hurts just for my shirt to lay across it. I'm wearing a shirt 2X my size! It's also making my chest feel right like it kinda hurts to breathe! Is it possible mastitis?

It's so bad! I have to be topless bc nothing can touch it. I was so scared they would cut it open to drain it. ? thank you for the well wishes I hope to be able to wear shirts soon. Lol
Update: Dr said it is possibly mastitis. They give me antibiotics and painkillers. They said if it gets worse to come back in and to keep my appt with my obgyn.
I'd go to urgent care. It could be a cyst and those are the WORST! the sooner they treat it the better if not it could get infected. I hope it's nothing but better safe than sorry! My mom was in the hospital for 2 WEEKS on IV antibiotics because she left the cyst for a week hoping it on would go down and it got into her blood and gave her septis ?
It still the same pain but its pretty swollen. It literally looks like I have two nipples.
I had to reschedule. He got called away for a delivery and my dh had to work... Is this er worthy? I haven't gone bc I don't think it is.
Thank you. I'm going to the drs today. I didn't sleep well at all. I'm confined to laying on the left side or my back. Which is so uncomfortable to me.
I haven't pumped or breastfed in 5 months. I tried a wet washcloth but it hurt so much. I cried while it was on it. It just started hurting and getting swollen last night.

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
@Veronica I did. They gave me antibiotics and pain killers. They told me if it gets worse to come back in and to keep my ob appt. I'm picking up my prescription now. I got really sick this morning. Bad headache and throwing up. IDK if it's related or not I don't feel to bad now.
