Did your LO learn to open doors? My two year old just came running from her room to mine.... Her door was closed! This is the first time she's ever actually got the door open. She'll be 2.5 on the 22nd. I'm pretty worried bc our front door is a sliding glass door. ? oh my tired self will not be sleeping to much tonight. We can't get the door knob covers until tomorrow night.

My 2.4mo old just started doing this to the bedroom and pantry doors. I'm going tonight to get a knob for the bathrooms and front door.
The terrible twos have struck my home lol

My daughter also started doing this at 2.5. We now have to put up a baby gate in front of her room (at night) otherwise she gets out at like 2am and gets into things lol.

16 months! Opening and closing doors is his favorite activity. We had to put handle covers on the door to the basement and our laundry room.

She is constantly into the cabinets! She has no problems opening cabinets and drawers. We just moved on the first... she has never had her own room. Ever since we moved in she has been messing with it at night. I may try a baby gate tonight. Last time I put on up in the hall and she just knocked it right down! She ran through it! ?

It depends on the door. He is 2 years old and can open my bedroom door but can not open his own. He also can open our gate front door but not the main front door. But if he tried hard enough him pretty sure he will get it.
He can open all the doors at my sisters house because her doors have handles to them.

Op, there's a tension bar that u can put on the sliding glass window to keep lo from opening it. That's what we did. We put it at the top so that ds can reach it.

He was able to open doors that had the lever door knob you just pull down around the age of 2.
He's 3 and still can't open a door with a regular twist door knob.

My daughter started around 18 months, when she could reach them. It's not convenient when I'm in the bathroom with people over ?

Pp we have round door knobs. I was absolutely shocked! She wanted me to put her slipper back on but I was just staring at her for minute.
Hola, our front door is backwards. The part that slides over is on the outside. So I'd have to put the tension bar in it on the outside, then come back in through the back door.

Oh I remember when my brother was a baby and he ran out of the house once he learned to open doors and we couldn't find him. We almost lost it, I was little and didn't know what to do. Thankfully, the cops brought him over back to us because they found him on someone's driveway across the street. It's soo scary ?

His first time was literally 5 minutes ago!! - funny that this is posted, I'm shocked. He's 18 months old. And just got out of bed, went to the door opened it and left... he's never even tried opening a door before.
I think it was luck... I hope it was luck.

So I figured I could just lock the door for now but she has unlocked the door and can open it and I dk what to even think. I guess baby gate it is tonight!

LO has learned to open doors since we moved into this house. We have handles and not traditional door knobs. We lock the front door so he doesn't leave the apartment. I'd say he was one and a few months when he figured it out.

20 months or so. It sucks. But we have those lever door handles. Wish we could change them but we're renting.
