He probably thought that you wouldn't like that he was messaging another women.

Men lie out of fear of our reactions. (Not always) but, in a lot of cases. He may have "assumed" that you'd be upset, so, he lied to save himself from whatever scenario he had playing in his head.

Just my guess/opinion. That's a big reason why mine lies. He "assumes" much.

He wasn't messaging my sister. I was using his phone to message my sister. He got a message from some girl in Ohio. I hate that he lied to me. I really do....

Judging by the fact you felt the need to ask why his phone was flashing and then snoop to see for yourself, I get the feeling you're little too nosey or jealous in general. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, that's just how it sounds. Maybe he just doesn't want to have to tell you about every message he gets. I don't tell husband about every message I get, and if he started asking every time my phone flashed I would probably start making up little white lies too.

Maybe it was a relative? I wouldnt worry too much about that. He isnt meaning to hurt you im sure or he wouldnt have let you use his phone.

If it was blinking, doesn't that mean he hadn't actually seen the notification yet? My husband does that all the time. He just assumes it's his poker game beeping.

I think I didn't make too much sense he already checked why it was blinking when I asked. And pp I didn't "snoop" through his damn phone. He didn't close out of the message. That's how I saw it. Other then that I would not have even known. And I don't ask him constantly. This is like the 2nd time iv ever asked him in the 2 yrs we've dated. I'm still hurt he lied. The message was just sent to him when I asked. Like I said I could care less about the girl messaging him but the fact he lied hurts me.

I'm with u ._. My so hides the fact that he talks to girls idk about. He thinks I'm stupid and don't know anything but when I asked him about it he denies everything.

My fiance did the same thing! She texts him Wednesday and asked if he was hung over and how MY daughter was and she didn't know it was me, lied about her name, and said he texted her asking to go out and drink. I asked him and he admitted to texting her in April about her quitting where she worked and he used to work but didn't want to tell me because "he knew I would be mad". You think I'm happy now?! Guys suck

Exactly! I trust him but when you lie AND I know your lying it hurts. But I asked him about it anyways, he says he didn't reply which I saw he didn't reply. So I asked why he lied. He says I didn't mean too..... Wth kinda answer is that?? But I did the adult thing and I dropped it. No use getting worked up. He is laying with me after all. And she lives in ohio we live in Nevada.
