Q about Fyremadel (ganirelix) injection site

My pharmacy has switched out Orgalutran for Fyremadel and the instructions explain how to inject into the thigh. I don't remember injecting anything into my thigh last time, as all the jabs went into my abdomen. Does anyone know if it makes a difference? I'd prefer abdomen as it worked last IVF and I don't want to change anything at all! Thanks for your insights.

I would confirm with your clinic. The package insert on my cetritide said to give subcutaneously but my RE actually wanted it give intramuscularly to increase the absorption.

I took it.

Goes in belly but my doctor told me that if I run out of spots to do it on my belly or if I bruise easily then I can do it into front thigh.

The needle is so small that it won’t get to your muscles - it still will be subQ injection.

I haven't been on it, but the thigh is considered an intermuscular injection while the abdomen is a subcutaneous style injection. The medicine will go in at different speeds due to that from what I understand. Call up the clinic or look at your medication insert. Maybe they have found it works better in the muscle. Good luck!
