Sex when taking vaginal progesterone?

Thanks for all your wit and wisdom, ladies :) Fiona thank you - you really made me laugh out loud!! We are currently surviving on the "Ten-to-Nine" program of scheduled lovemaking just before I take the next dose. Oh and with huge great thick extra-safe shopping-bag condoms that make lovemaking take twice as long, and meant we had to modify the "Five-to-Nine" program LOL ?. I'm going to ask my doctor at the transfer on Weds what restrictions we'll have afterwards.

I made my husband wear a condom more for me than him. I felt dry from the pills so I bought condoms with extra lube. Kept him clean and made it more comfortable. We didn't have any sex restrictions.

We were told sex was ok. Doc recommended having sex before taking the progesterone and also recommended he wear a condom to ensure he didn't get a large dose.

We also has sex while I was on the progesterone suppositories. I asked my doc if it was ok and he said it was fine. Hubby just showered after sex to get rid of any cream that got on him. I don't think you have to wait 10 wks unless you have some condition warranting abstinence for that period

My doctor said it was fine to have sex while on them, but fair warning, it can be a bit messy

My husband and i have sex when I'm on progesterone suppositories. Has never made him act differently, everything seems ok. I don't recommend oral after he has been inside of you as the progesterone taste GROSS! ??

You have a lovely way with words. Lol. Maybe he could wear condoms? I'm sure it's not his ideal experience, but at least y'all wouldn't loose any important fertility "members" ?. And there is also manual stimulation?? ?

Sorry Liz, but I agree- he has to deal with it. You could make him a coupon book for after the 10 weeks. Leave a few blanks for him to fill in and tell him how exciting this little celibate (spelling?) can be for your love life.

I stopped my progesterone at 10 weeks (which was yesterday) your hubs will be fine, he won't die, neither will his manhood ?. It was required by RE no sex until progesterone stopped.

My doctor says no sex until 10 weeks :( which is when I'm done with vaginal progesterone .... at this point I just want to get pregnant so one step at a time!!

I say maybe could affect him bc they say if you use any of the topical hormone lotions not to touch kids right? But I don't have a real answer so maybe condom until you call the dr to ask? The dr is probably used to hearing these questions. I asked tons of questions about having sex to the ER, nurses, and even my IVF coordinator!
