Does your SO ever notice?!?

Does your SO/DH notice when u do things around the house?!?! I ask because I dropped the kids off at school this am then spent about 3 of my 4 free hours cleaning the entire downstairs. Living room, dining room, powder room and kitchen. Like scrubbed counters, toilets moved couches vacuumed and mopped everything. My house was sparkling clean when he got home and didn't even notice!!! Like wtf I just spent hours cleaning u would think he would at least notice but no wha wha he didn't!!!

My house is generally pretty clean but I do a deep clean once a week and every time I do, my husband says it smells good but never says anything about how clean it looks.

He doesn't say anything until I tell him all that I did, and then he will say he noticed and thank me. Other then that if I don't bring it up he don't say anything lol but he is very genuine when he thanks me so I thank him back for all that he does as well.

Not really. I'm the only one who does any cleaning or housework, so it never dawns on him. If I tell him I cleaned, he will say it looks great. I don't really hold it against him. He has a really stressful job, so I don't bother him with any chores at the house.

My husband always notice, even the smallest details. His favorite saying is, "you never cease to amaze me."

He just needs to learn your love language, PP. Charge it to his head and not his heart. ❤️

He always tells me "house looks great babe." Even if I only get the living room clean. It really makes me feel good that he took the time to thank me. I'm sorry that he didn't notice. It's a lot of work to clean!

I only listed everything I did in a full day of cleaning and DH could only count maybe 3-5 times. I had 20ish items on my list like, laundry, dust, dishes, vacuum... ????

He notices everything. I came home for lunch today and while I was home I did the dishes (just a few that I didn't wash after dinner last night). He sent me a text as soon as he got home thanking me for doing the dishes. Our marriage isn't perfect, but we both do a good job at acknowledging the work the other does.

He noticed we have 3 kids so walking in a house that don't look like a daycare stands out.

Yea my house is usually pretty clean. But most days there's toys scattered everywhere lol. He said he did notice but I don't believe him. I think he just said that to make me feel better lol. But after I mentioned something he said wow it looks really good in here. Again I think he was just trying to be nice because I worked my butt off cleaning. My kids were in school. They only go for 4 hours. So I dropped them off at 9m went grocery shopping. Trying to meal prep for the rest of the week then spent about 3 hours cleaning. Then I got to sit down and eat a peaceful lunch in front of the tv. Had to watch teen mom from last night lol. Then picked up the boys from school. Like I said before my husband hardly lifts a finger at home except for playing with the boys, making dinner some nights and occasionally helps clean up the toys after the boys are in bed!!! I really can't complain he's a great husband and father!!!

He only notices when it's not cleaned ? then I smack him him upside his head (I may or may not be kidding).

Thankfully, yes. Although, for the past 6 months my house has been in a disaster state due to a terminally ill dog (passed away a few months ago) and then a water leak that destroyed our kitchen, floors, and drywall downstairs. So it's been chaos and messy, so when I clean hardcore he really can tell easily. Prior to that I kept things tidy almost all the time, so he didn't notice when I did a deep clean or anything.

Maybe this just means you have a pretty clean house already! And that's a plus!

My SO always notices. I've been dealing with a lot of depression so anytime I even put on a little makeup or I pick something up, he makes a big deal of it and makes me feel great ?

My fiance notices. Only if toys are picked up though. Thats what he hates the most. But I could steam mop and stuff and he wouldn't notice. But if I pick up all the toys and sweep, he loves it. Thats because we have a lot of arguments about when I dont clean so he appreciates me. I also just tell him what to do to feel better about myself lol

Just wait till I go in the hospital to give birth everyone's going to get a bf surprise lol my kids are home schooled so just imagine the mess

He never complains if I don't clean. My house is usually clean but today I did a deep clean. But I could totally tell how dirty my hardwood floors were. So I though it would be noticeable to him when he came in but it wasn't!!! ??.

Nope. Probably because our apartment is almost always clean so it's not really a big difference. The only thing he ever notices is when I fold laundry because I rarely do that. ?

Depends some days my so noticed and some days he doesn't. I'm a sahm so I clean really good almost everyday so to him it's the same he only notices things like his clothes being clean or his area/stuff being cleaned it's annoys me when I've spent hours deep cleaning the entire house and he has the nerve to ask me what I did all day ..

I spent ALL day cleaning yesterday. Worked my butt off. I made a point to show him what I did. If he doesn't notice, that's fine, but I don't sit around and hope he does. I'll just let him know how hard I worked. ?

Trigger warning UPDATE IN COMMENTS

Trigger warning UPDATE IN COMMENTS So going off of my poll about using correct body terms I need some 2nd opinions. I feel like I am so paranoid about this. So my sil has been with my brother for 12 years now. Our families are really close. We clean for her mom and step dad every two weeks and house sit from time to time. Her mom absolutely adores my dd so we would bring her with us. I started noticing that her stepdad would always want to bring her in another room. I didn't think anything because they could occupy her while we cleaned no big deal. Her mom would often lay down because she has severe fibromyalgia and has a hard time with pain. But then he would say things like let's go in the play room and change your diaper. And if we went into that room to vacuum or clean the bathroom he seemed burdened that we went in there. Odd. I mentioned it to dh and he started getting uncomfortable with her being alone with him. I just always had a weird feeling about how he acted and the things he'd say. I just didn't really start paying attention until after awhile. He always says things like why don't you come sit on my lap. It always just sounded weird when he said it. I don't want to cause trouble if nothing is really happening but would his behavior strike you as odd or weird? Should I be concerned?

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Does your baby father tell you what time to be home like have a curfew ? Because really I'm not a child and I'm not going out drinking or partying it was a child play day and unplanned so of course I didn't wash the dishes if I had known I would of cleaned in advance and cooked but seriously he took it too personal saying I'm in the street all day and it's the last time I do this really do I look ten years old to him ?

do you... Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, even after myself. I clean as I cook, so DF doesn't clean up because it's done before dinner is finished lol. But there's rare occasions where he'd be in the kitchen while I cook so he does help out with the cleaning since i cook during the day sometimes so we can heat it up when it's dinner time. I want everyone to get their first and seconds before I eat. My mom has taught me to always clean up after your spouse makes dinner, it's only fair. They put their effort into cooking, you should always help them out.
