Cold weather and jackets

Cold weather and jackets

So what do u guys do about cold weather jackets and car seats. I don't have my kids wear winter jackets in the car we have a long walkway from car to door so do u put heavy jackets on the take them off on the car or just book it to the car?!? Car being heated up of course? Just wanted to hear what everyone else does. I'm in philly and it's like 30 degrees here

Start the car with the heat on full blast. Go back inside and place a fleece blanket in the dryer to warm it up. Put dd in a thin jacket (her coat stays in the car) throw the heated blanket around her and walk to the car.

With my kids we do layers. They wear a thin long sleeve shirt, then a fleece jacket, and finally their coat over that. When we get to the car the coats come off.

I have a walk too! I wrap her up in a blanket. Then I lay it over her in the seat :)

Fleece sweater underneath a car seat poncho ?.

Preheat the car, take them out bundled in little blankets. They like to put the blankets in their laps after they're buckled. I usually just bring their coats in the diaper bag.

I warm our car up for 10 minutes, she walks out in her winter jacket, I put her in her car seat and then take her jacket off and buckle her in

That's what I've been doing. It's a pain in the a** but better then them freezing or getting hurt if there was an accident

At home we have a garage, can't imagine not having one. Makes it easier. Right now we are in Vermont for my husbands job and we have no garage. My 8 month old is in a baby carrier carseat, she wears fleece pjs and a throw a blanket over her. My 3 year old wears a jacket to the car and I take it off when we get to the car. It's a pain in the butt.

I put their coats on backward, so arms first and zipper in the back. It's so much easier to take it off that way, so you can get them buckled in.

Jacket on, get in back seat take jacket off and wrestle kid into seat then get out of car all sweaty and go where I need to go and repeat. Lol

We have a short walk to the car too, but depending on how cold it is I usually bundle them up anyways for the walk since its been in the teens lately. Than I take jackets off once I put them in the seat. Buckle them up and either put their jacket over them or give them a blanket

I wrap my 11 month old in a thick blanket for the walk to the car and put her coat on at our destination. My 4 year old just runs, lol.

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
