Did my son just self wean
So my little guy turned one today!!!! The last few days he's been pretty miserable teething. I think canine teeth. Already had too and bottom molars. So he's had a runny nose the last few days too. The last time he nursed was yesterday afternoon. I offered the breast to him last night before bed and all day today as normal and he would not eat!!! My plan was to wean at a year but it's it possible he's done?!?! Or could it be that he's just not feeling well?!?! I was not quite ready to just stop like that?!? I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings but it could be the end for us nursing

It's unlikely he's weaning. My son doesn't nurse much with a cold because he can't breathe. I sometimes spray saline spray into his nose to clear him up. Or I'd pump and give him a bottle since he can breathe easier with a bottle. Some babies also find the sucking of feeding hurts when they are teething. So it could be a combo of both.
Most babies won't self wean until they are over 18 months old.

Thanks for the response. So he's feeling better this am is able to breath from his nose. I tried nursing him he wanted no parts of it at all. Since he turned one yesterday I gave him milk in a sippy cup drank that right away. I'm not sure what's going on but haven't pumped so I guess my milk will dry up soon

He is likely not self weaning but sounds like it is working out the you wanted it! Great news!

I know but I'm sad cause I wasn't ready to just stop but I guess if he is then I just have to go with it
