Normal?
DD2 is 6 1/2 months and she doesn’t sit up yet. She does “tripod” sitting for a little bit. But can only sit unassisted for less than a minute before falling over.

My first daughter was around 7 months.
My son was 10.5 months. I was starting to sweat a little with him!
My youngest daughter is 8.5 months and still not sitting, but due to my son I’ve sort of accepted that my kids are late bloomers, physically. We are working on it with physio exercises.

Thank you guys! It just worries me because DD1 was already crawling by this point, so I just wanted to be sure!?

Its normal. My baby did that too at 6 months but i kept practicing and by 7 months she fully learned how to sit on her own without support.

I think it’s normal.. I always watch other areas of growth. Milestones timeframes are just timeframes and don’t take into consideration baby’s personality and preference

It's normal. Kids do things at different times. Ds just learned to sit unassisted and he will be 6 months on the 11th. Dd was at 5.5 months but didn't crawl until 9.5 months. Ds still barely does tummy time?
