Faith in humanity restored: this afternoon my friend Cassi and I were out shopping when we noticed a sweet puppy locked in a car. The windows were hardly cracked and it was very hot out. I remembered I had the local Police department phone number saved in my phone and gave them a call. The poor dog was in distress and obviously hot. With in 10 minutes not one but TWO officers showed up. I was beyond impressed with how they handled the situation

Two ladies walked out of the store with a very surprised look on their face to see two pissed off officers standing next to their car. The ladies straight up lied and said they were only in the store for 5 minutes. From start to finish it was over 30 minutes. When the "ladies" (I use that term loosely) became very aggravated and confrontational towards the officers my friend and I decided to leave. I'm confident the officers took care of it. I live in southern California where they take issues like this very seriously.

Good for you! Although I have to say I have a fear that someone will call the cops on me when I run in somewhere to pee and I have my dog in the car lol! That obviously wasn't the case here but terrified to leave him
