My iron was at a 9.6 but my iron reserve was at an 8. So they fear if I end up having a c section, as baby a is still breech, then I will need a transfusion.
It wasn't too bad. It took about 30 minutes to finish the bag. I have to go weekly and have bloodwork done before hand to see if the dosage needs to be modified. Thankfully no side effects I know some women have had mild reactions to the iron.
Good luck, I know the feeling. I was so anemic, my iron levels couldn't even be counted on a scale, they were less that 1. Now they're up to 5 after 8 iron infusion treatments. It's still a little low because my red blood cells & my hemoglobin were also low so I had to bring those numbers up. It's not fun getting stuck with a needle every week but anything for our babies :)

I had 14wks of iron and it wasn't bad I noticed headaches but more energy u will feel better. Good luck ma
