going home outfit for baby
What type of going home outfit is best for a summer baby ??? I'm thinking a romper last baby I had was in February and I brought her home in a little pajama this is my second but it's going to be hot I'm due June 21?

I put all my kids in sleepers when they go home. That way they’re comfortable.

My first was only 5lbs and had a little bit of jaundice. I was told to keep her wrapped up and warm even tho it was hot out for us. Not sure if this is the case for all newborns or because my girl was so small. I would say a romper will be fine. Just make sure you have a blanket to put on the baby when you get in the car since you will have the air on.

Newborns need to wrapped up even if hot outside. Part of this is because their skin is new to our environment and can burn extremely easy. So eventhough itll be hot here in the south she'll be in a sleeper, a hat & mittens.

I’m due June 21 too! I plan on bringing baby home in a lightweight sleeper and a hat with a light blanket. We live in Georgia and the humidity is almost unbearable in the summer.

I was thinking a sleeper to but I was wondering will it be to hot but you guys are right they do like being swaddled I was on the fence about her coming home outfit and I already had got her a cute newborn size sleeper I just thought since it would be hot she would get over heated but it's not the thick one ......and I do have her a blanket as well

You guys are in the south I'm in Ohio so I'll go with a sleeper we have hummidity here as well but it should not be that hot here prob 65-70 .......by then that's cold to a baby I didn't think about that

Ya I live in Texas so it gets super hot here. I had my son in June too and he was in a sleeper with a baby hat and blanket. They are only outside for a few seconds when you put them in the car and out of the car. They’ll be ok wearing long sleeves .

Definitely a sleeper and a hat. I keep my car and house quite cold in the summer time so I make sure baby is dressed accordingly.

You have to remember that your newborn will be used to a constant room temperature of 98.7 degrees

Yea your right i didnt think about that I was curious to know what other moms are bringing baby home in since it's June I haven't had a baby in 8 years and I was very young so I'm starting over but last time it was cold . I just wanna make sure I'm getting the right outfit for her. I have a blanket and I'm getting a canopy as well

I live in Las Vegas. It gets around 100-110 starting in May so she will be coming home in a onesie, tutu (just because I can lol) socks and mittens. Her onesie will be short sleeve just to avoid her overheating

I think you should do whatever you want and just bring an extra blanket just in case. I got our little boy a romper that we fell in love with and will bring a blanket to put around him in the car. And if you are more worried you can always add a white onesie underneath.
