vanishing twin?
Anyone experianced this? I had an us at 5 weeks and 3 days due to spotting. They found an empty sac and one with yolk and fetal pole. The dr. couldnt confirm a twin pregnancy and couldnt confirm vanishing twin as its still early but said it can go either way - 50/50 chance that the baby will still catch up or be reabsorbed. Anyone went through this? What was ur outcome? I have another us tomorrow but am a nervous reck.

I had a vanishing twin but I only found this out at my first scan @ 12 wks. It's sad but be there
Is nothing you can do to prevent it from happening. I think u shouldn't get ur hopes up and be thankful for the one healthy bub. It will be an added special bonus for you if they both survive past 12 wks!
Has anyone heard of vanishing twins? My dr informed me of them and I did some research. I see it happens to mostly to those over 30.. I’m pregnant with twins now and I am a little scared to lose one but I’m only 19 but age shouldn’t matter that much. Overthinking?

Apparently this is quiet common I went for us at 5/12 weeks same as u one sac was empty went bk at 7.6 and baby had turned up xx
