I’m back round 2
We are preparing for round 2 embryo transfer we finally have our date March 15
@tinkaboo
I was put to sleep when I woke up I was in pain but I believe I was only in pain because I over stimulated so I was extremely sore I had 42 eggs removed besides that I was fine and once I got home I felt fine the next day
There is a thread on baby4ever page she hasn’t made a group yet you are welcome to join the thread.
@ske so exciting we will be on the same day. Definitely will be sending prayers to you Welcome back !
Bolenchy- yes I too am hoping to see better results with the help of Acupunture. Do you have a scheduled date yet
Hi ladies, From my experience with acupuncture and supplements, it helped increased my lining from 7+ to 10cm when I did IUI though still didn't get preg. By research, it appears that all researches were basically geared towards IVF success ( not typically for IUIs) . To do ivf actually, I will be combining acupuncture with it just to boost my chances. My diagnosis was just unexplained infertility. For ivf, my acupuncturists advised to come in for treatments at least once during stim days and day before retrieval day, day before transfer and 4 or 5 days after transfer. Though it's expensive for each session but would just combine for greater success. I hope this helps, baby dust to all!
Msjoy- tomorrow!!! How exciting wishing you the best tomorrow
Thank you Jenny! Wishing you the best let me know when you get your date scheduled.
Celi yes the plan is to transfer two again I figure if I put two at least one should implant and if both implant I never have do ivf again lol :) we just need one baby but if we get two it’s a blessing that we will be happy to receive.
I am not a fan of the acupuncture because we pinch ourselves enough thru this process but once the needles are in I am very relaxed so it helps. My dr recommends acupunture before the transfer which my ins is actually helping pay for (that’s a 1st) and the day of transfer right before transfer and right after (this part is not covered by ins) my first ivf I opted out of Acupunture and as u know still got pregnant but I always wondered if I would have done the Acupunture maybe both babies would have implanted instead of just one so I’m doing the Acupunture this round hoping it makes some kind of difference. If you look up the stats it’s pretty impressive so whatever helps right
How was the acupuncture?? Does it help prep for the transfer? My RE had me stay on aspirin and added lovenox blood thinner and prednisone. But I honestly don't know if that helped any. Apparently I am able to implant it's staying pregnant that's the problem. I wish you luck on your next transfer!!!
Celi yes this time i am doing acupuncture and stopping the baby asprin once pregnancy is confirmed to avoid blood clots since thats all we know about my last miscarriage. Any other suggestions?
Awesome add me to the March group please or let me know the name so I can join
Of course no problems I am the type of person who needs to know everything to be prepared so I completely understand you it’s just this is my second time so I am running thru the motions lol okay so I’m going to tell you my current process which is embroyo transfer since I did my egg retrieval a long time ago. I went in for sonogram and blood work they did a beta test and estrogen test to see if I could start meds that afternoon I got the okay to start birth control pills for 10 days and lupron (thigh injection every morning) along with prenatals then I got my period on day 3 went back in for ultrasound and blood work then I got the ok to start, baby aspirin (1 pill a day)and estrogen tablets (3 a day) and stomach patches (3 patches every 3 days)than almost 30 days later I stop lupron and start progesterone oil injections (which continue till your 9/10 weeks pregnant. And I also start vag progesterone caps 3 days before my transfer Now your doing egg retrieval before this so you will have another set of meds before you get to this which include stomach injections of menapur so what I am doing you will do after they retrieve your eggs and fertilize them. It’s all pretty easy the part that sucks is the progesterone oil injection but when you get there I’d be happy to give you some tips so it not as bad.
You will do the trigger shot on your egg retrieval. And for my embroyo transfer process I only have 3 ultrasounds and one the day of transfer. For egg retrieval you will have a lot more because they want to monitor how many eggs you mature and their size
I wish I remembered the exact process for egg retrieval but it was too long ago but basically you will start on day 3 do your injections daily to mature the eggs while they monitor them once you have a good amount of mature eggs they ask you to trigger and than you go in and they do a procedure and remove them after they remove them and grade the eggs they fertilize them and wait 5 to 6 days and call you and let you know how many multiplied into blastocyst and than you start prepping for embroyo transfer.
Can you give me specific timing for your lining prep? When did you start meds? What meds did they give you to prepare it? Does it start Cycle Day 3 like other procedures? How long do you take them? Do you do a trigger shot? How many ultrasound.
Sorry for the 20 questions!! Just want to be prepared!!! TIA. ??
Hi ladies welcome I haven’t seen a March transfer group yet hopefully there will be enough of us to make one. So to answer your question I have never done a fresh transfer only frozen so I don’t know the difference but frozen transfer is usually meds to grow eggs then egg retrieval then 6 days the embroyos growing into blastocyst than embroyo transfer date where the doctors will put one or two embroyos. I think I have heard that the frozen is faster but I may be mistaken since I have never done a fresh transfer. Our case is a bit different we did egg retrieval feb of 2017 so now we will be doing just the embroyo transfer. I am currently taking meds to prepare my lining. I do know that drs have found to have better results with frozen transfers
Thank you ladies we are very excited!
I saw the dr today everything is looking good so I continue my meds and go back 3/7 for another check up. If all is well bam ET on the 15th :) happy to be cycle buddies with my fellow March ladies
